The Prize Fight + Vi interaction is a prize fight mechanic, not a vi mechanic. It’s not consistent with cards like survival instincts but that’s because survival instincts changes the minion to not die from damage, whereas prize fight changes the strike itself to do less damage. It works this way consistently across all damage-measuring strike effects in the game, including Nasus level up or the special effects of any PoC powers.
Jessyiscute is right, the reason you couldnt make it work on the other video is because they didnt have the hp for you to deal enough damage. You only ever dealt like 3 or 4 damage with prize fight. But if you were to prize fight someone with enough hp for you to deal the damage required, she would level up. U need to DEAL the damage not just attack or strike something. On the case of other strike cards, u would lvl up because you strike for the damage u have, but with prize fight u always strike for the hp they have -1. Hope this helps cuz I've been hearing this a lot and i havent seen a single person explain how it doesn't work
@@xadadax1 he got confused with cards that must deal damage vs cards that struct with damage. Same interaction happens with renekton with deal but ornn, nasus are struck cards. It makes sense after thinking but it's not consistent so people can get confused.
@@DevDev-dm3stits a finicky bit of language specific to English. "I have struck for 10 damage" vs "I have struck with 10 power." The first one requires a result from a strike. The second one simply requires the strike. Not sure if they wrote it that way, but that's essentially what's happening.
Jessyiscute was wrong the first few guesses they threw out though. They said a wrong guess multiple times then got it right on the third guess. Is that just throwing stuff at the wall without any information or being right?
After watching the price fight video and this one i have an idea why it works with survival insticts. This card protects the unit, so u strike for youre full dmg but the unit will survive and with prize fight u take the action by attack with exactly the points to set them to 1 hp. I think it happens because its youre own card and that this is coded differently
Again with the Prize Fight vs Survival Instinct XD In prize fight, the units strike to not kill, so they use less than their full strenght. With Survival Instinct Vi can strike with full strenght and the opponent still doesn't go down, that's it. Both Vi and Nasus need to strike with all their might to level up. Prize fight is a fight where it's not allowed to kill the opponent. Survival Instinct lets a unit say "Ah, you strike me to kill me? I don't die anyway!"
What if Fiora was still a win con but less insta win, like maybe everytime she kills a unit she’s granted +2/+2 and when she kills 4 she gets double attack and whenever she strikes a unit in combat she strikes the nexus(or some thing like that so it isn’t insta win).
I found some weird interactions too 2 examples: -ichor curse damage at the start of round doesn't activate plunder - playing jagged cuitlass with its plunder effect doesn't count as "activating plunder" for purposes of cards like for example monkey pandemonium

What I think would be awesome for the game to create a more "nested" community would be a multiple-players mode akin to magic's commander. Nowadays that's pretty much the only magic I play and it's such an enjoyable "group event". I think Runeterra is by far the best digital CCG and I would like to have a reason to... ask friends to play with me cause that's what keeps me invested in games. I never play a multiplayer game all that long unless I'm playing with friends and in Runeterra there's... like no incentive to, whatsoever. Which isn't necessarily the game's fault. It's a 1v1 oriented card game so of course there's no "teamplay" or the like. I just wish there was more you could do with friends. The reason I play other Riot games more is because.. well.. I play them with friends. So far I've played the game for.. few days and then not play it for half a year, then a few days again - maybe the one-off game. So little my card collection is messed up as I only have cards from the old beginner decks I tried back then lol. But hey got to put together an Ashe-Vex deck because I love control decks in these games so I got smth to play around with in the new expansion XD (also currently fishing for what cool new Gwen decks emerge because I am very partial to Gwen, even if not 100% by her gameplay XD)
I ve been playing something similar but for the full meme of it with one eddy and a bunch of greedy 6 cost. Needless to say a get some very brick hands ....
I would love to see Snnuy pick a top deck, modify it to his liking, and then... play the deck against the owner using their creation against Snnuy's version. Best out of 5 rounds. (Make a series doing that) ... ...~Also: Play against his subscribers with the same format. The subscriber makes a deck and shares it with him. he modifies it and the subscriber must be trustworthy to not watch the stream while playing.
Woah no way the card game has a degree of luck involved? I can’t believe it. Also saying no skill is just blatantly wrong knowing when to play what and how to deck build takes skill that not everyone has, stop making excuses and just improve or leave we don’t need a final message form you where all you do is cry.
