This is the best explanation of removal, rebuilding and installing the injectors on a Mercedes diesel. I've ever seen. Thank you for your incredible knowledge and experience!
You should have checked the opening pressure of the injectors. If they are not adjusted correctly chanses are that the engine will not run as it should. Springs get tired over time.
Hello my dear friend I have a problem with a leak in the nozzle that you were working on at the beginning of the video A lot of diesel comes out from inside the nozzle and gives off steam With severe vibration in the engine and cutting in the exhaust exit from the silhouette If the smoke is between white and black
Hello! When i was removing the injector, a piece of dirt or a very small rock fell inside the prechamber. tried vacuuming it but no luck. Not sure if it's safe to start the engine?
Can this I doing for allone in my Werkstatt or this Injector going for BOSCH can i open this alone!? Sorry I Com from Germany my English no good thank you
I dont know where I have to buy de washers. I dont know if they are specials and If go to the Mercedes or hardware store. thanks. Can someone tell me the meaning: " the diference between any two injections nozzies within one engine not exceed 5 bar positive" thanks. Second, my pression is 115 + 8, whats is meaning? I imagines the meaning is inyector can arribe 123 bars? thanks
I honestly never gone that far but you can find out what size thread you have in the cylinder head by removing another injector and measure the threads on the injector and you can retry to rethread it with the same size thread.
If you look when I took the injector apart you can see a round washer , by getting different thinkness washer(s) you can change the pop pressure, it's very important to get the pop pressure with in specs.
There is no way to purge the injectors if you don't have a bench machine like the one that I used in the video your best bet is to keep cranking till they get filled with diesel, make sure you never crank longer than 30 seconds.
I will tell you one trick, you have luck to unfasten injector,so i never use vice to unfasten injector,so you take piece of metal and socket and socket should be appropiate size to fit to nut which was in your case in vice, weld it upside down to this piece of metal, later when you weld you take clamps and tight it to the workbench, you will see how much is easier to unfasten injector, specially if you have 6 cylinder engine, one always brake your ba...,anyway never again your injector will move in vice.
