Hurricane Milton went from CAT 1 to CAT 5 in 10 hrs and has 160 mph winds and is getting stronger due to extremely hot ocean water. You are right. Of all the videos I've watched of the tragedy from Helene, I heard that not only did that hurricane have two eyes, but that in an area of North Carolina, the one Fire Captain was adamant that a tornado also passed through their area because of the way a certain path of destruction was.
This is just horrible...it's weather manipulation for land grabs...I'm praying so hard for everyone and my sister and a couple of friends are in Ft. Lauderdale...I have friends in Naples as well...please God wrap your arms around everyone in this path.

STORM surge....I'm getting that the water coming in is going to collapse/open sinkholes. That part of FL is full of sinkhole from building on swamplands and wetlands. Just adding my read.

This can happen multiple times within the same storm. The new eyewall can contract quickly after the old one dissipates, which can strengthen the storm again. Fujiwhara Effect This occurs when two tropical cyclones rotate around each other and become one. This is more common in the Pacific Ocean. The storms may not actually collide, but they will rotate around a common center. If one storm is stronger than the other, it may pull the smaller storm in and appear to have two eyes. The eye of a hurricane is the calmest area, with low wind speeds and clear skies. The eye is usually in the geometric center of the hurricane, and the entire hurricane rotates around it.
My daughter is in the path, I’m further south & the main office to the company I work for is near Asheville, NC…. which delayed my payroll that I’m usually desperate for, unfortunately, these damn storms.
Florida is having several trailers for showers/ toilets and ambulances being brought in to take people out of the hospitals and them to other areas ( so the hospitals aren't overwhelmed) ...presently they have SEVERAL dump trucks going in to pick up debris before the next storm hits .... I have several friends in Florida that are from NY I hope they get out!
Pinnellas county is essentially an island with bridges that connect st Pete to Tampa. Only other way out is 19. This is making me sick. I feel like pinellas county may get cut off from the main land.
I wonder if the 2 equates to 2 coasts being hit. Hurricanes I believe typically travel from the south, northward. This one is modeled to travel from the East to the West coast of Florida - from the Gulf to the Atlantic. I think this is unusual hurricane behavior. We are about 10 miles inland in North Fort Myers. Ft. Myers beach is being evacuated by 3 today. Our home did well during Ian 2 years ago. We had just moved 2 weeks before Ian hit so we were newbies! We’re better prepared this time.

@@supaspygirl4787 well where the Carolina's just got hit there's a bunch of lithium under the ground that they need is what everyone is saying...they need it for technology.electronics etc . Alot of ppl believe these storms have been manipulated and manufactured and that would be the reason.this is the second storm almost in the same path in Florida I don't believe in coincidence. I heard the same about lithium being under Asheville just a day or two ago. I don’t know if that is true or not, but there is quartz under Asheville which is 100% pure, very rare.

Oh my goodness 😮! I warned my brother when booking this vacation 2 years ago!!! I had this odd feeling that hurricanes would be coming and that we should do maybe Christmas. (But, why listen to the psychic 🙄). But, this has been My inspiration for losing 140 lbs to date! I am supposed to fly down to Ft. Lauderdale and catch my Halloween Disney Cruise 🚢 to Nassau and go to 2 of their private islands. 🫶🙏. Omg 😱 if this really does become bad! the people trying to ‘escape’ 😢, their homes. [I can reschedule, I hope 🤞 if things get worse] but people’s lives can be ruined. Btw.. ‘escape’ because whenever you see evacuating people there’s always just a parking lot on a highway from the traffic.
