I have the same one I polished the washers no play from side to side but yet it’ll drop freely it’s beautiful, I also put the bug out clip on it it’s so deep carry that it just disappears in your pocket and it has that little 2 inch clip it’s such a nice clip for that knife

I will have to upload an updated video. Like you, I took it apart, smoothed out the washers, added some lube, used a bit of loctite and now it is much, much better. Still slightly off center but the knife opens and shuts much better now. I am now just starting to really like the knife. Thanks for watching and the comment!

@@petervu9773 Take the washers out, use 1000 grit wet dry sandpaper and just move it around in circles That’s what I polished mine with

Great looking knife! I’ve always admired the 940-1. Currently own the 707, 531, 535bk-2 and 486 Saibu. I just may need to add that one to the collection some day. 👍

Looked up each one of your knives. You've got a great collection and it is great how you can mix it up depending on your needs. That saibu with the 20cv steel, the knife blade itself is outstanding and then you have it paired up with a unique design with wood accents! Conversation piece for sure!!

I have to disagree. Benchmade edges don’t come very good from the factory at all. Especially the freek. The edge on the freek is trash for durability until you break through the bad edge. I have heard you have to do 15 new edges before you get to properly treated m4 steel that acts the way it’s supposed to.
