I just got one of these in my hand about an hour ago. Looked up a comparison video. They took a lot of the constructive criticism you mentioned in this video and improved upon it. Like, a lot. It's much harder to determine the authentic vs the clone now.
Lol I hear you. That’s funny. If I were Benchmade I’d be coming out with new packaging and something only they can make or do on the knives. Benchmade’s R&D team need to figure it out.
@@Sweetknives They should do something like with paper money, put holograms or identification model numbers on the knives with a verification process online. So if they made a run of 10'000 knives, number them all and have a verification code. So if you buyt he knife you can go online and see if your one is an unclaimed model, then you input the code to verify it and everyone online can see that model is verified and only 1 exists.

Mine is a fake,however it has necome my daily beater knife.I use it for work cardboard and packing up stuff.not bad for 30 bucks. When I want a serious knife we grab the Bark River bravo cpm-3v. Thanks for the informative video.
I think you have 2 clone boxes regarding your blue class boxes? Benchmade boxes have the snake scale foam that comes up the side's as well. Just mentioning it because I've never seen a true benchmade without the full foam in the box. I could be mistaken?
The video does show the correct info... its possible part of the foam was taken out because the knife is fairly large, but what I mentioned in the video I stand by.
I have all 3 of those. All real though and from knifeworks. The black one is upgraded with carbon fiber scales and pocket clip. The grey one is getting dyed redwood burl scales soon I just received the wood in the mail today.
They are all clones made by Chinese cnc machines, yes even the so called American made knives ! Load the blank ( and a steel blank , no matter the liehype is around $20.00 , not $200.00 l) , unload the part assemble ( in some so called American knife co charge 3x4x5x the price however greedy you feel today )ship , the programmer is the highest skilled person involved !
I have a real one and this same clone . The clone is D2 and is very sharp I don't like the Idea of clones , yet at the same time this is a solid knife on its own. I use it where I don't want to damage my original. the other Bench made clone models are not as close as this one you can tell fairly easy . If in doubt go through a legit dealer avoid eBay or wish.
WellI doubted mine could be for real at WISH for $31 plus tax and shipping. But I would not have modified the griips like I did for better comfort and less distinct printing in a pocket. If the steel is near to the M390 on the blade I will be delighted
Wish NEVER sells the real thing. They always give you a fake. If you're ok with that, go on, but never ever expect wish to ship you a genuine product (at least if the price is lower than retail)
And typically they use 440 steel or 7Cr17MoV 8Cr13Mov and if you're really lucky you're getting D2. Nothing near M390. I'm not against knock-offs of such ridiculously high priced steels, but you will definetly never get any high end steel of them, it's the easiest aspect to save a loooot of money with many customers not knowing enough to realize it.
BirdshotIV showed some counterfeit Spyderco’s at a knife show a while back. When you know what to look for it becomes obvious. But they are getting better which is scary. Good video
Brad B Brad B Some people don’t want to buy knockoffs. Most knockoffs don’t have the same QC, warranty, performance and people don’t like being tricked, which is what happens in MOST cases. To be honest, if that’s your or anyone else’s thing, good for you. I’m sure many other people would pass judgement on you. I don’t really care to. Collect away.
Thanks for share I just knew that I got your shared exactly fake one in cheap price I think it is still acceptable in around half price in non used....... Just my seller no telling about this to me a must hahaha......
