Today we installed a 20lb Propane Tank at the Cabin in the Woods and Hooked it to our Big Buddy Heater! I built a box that hangs under the mini cabin that will stay out of the weather yet has good access.

I have worked for the phone company for 20 years. You would not believe all the zip ties we use. If you have a need to mount any small pipe or hose in the future consider mounted head zip ties. They are quick to install and cheap two of my favorite things and they will last a very long time if not exposed to the sun. Great video.

Good morning from the Western Ozarks. Kinda damp and chilly morning sit in the blind. We saw 5 does and one buck. If we could have gotten the buck to stop, might have been able to shoot. -- We have a Little Buddy version with a 6’ hose plus filter that heats our 10x16’ cabin from a 20-lb tank outside. Can be pretty hot in there - it’s all insulated but the floor. Nothing as ornate as your tank rack - we just set the tank on the ground. Since yours is elevated, your design is perfect. -- My Hunter is here with his big brother - we say hi to your Hunter!

Hey Morgans , I have been using a big buddy heater in my 12x16 cabin for 11or 12yrs. it will run you out side if you run both panels on high. Enjoy the quiet and watching the woods wake up in the mornings..

5 gallon pails are great for sorting tools. Less digging through a big tool box to get to the tool you need (which is always at the bottom). Get the canvas bucket caddy with smaller hand tools at hand around the outside of pail, drivers, drills etcetera inside. I sorted my buckets with typical job requirements for example plumbing in one bucket, electrical in another and so on. They even sell canvas bags that called parachute bags with a half dozen dividers in them to separate different screws, nails and the like and stack inside the bucket. A lot more useful and cheaper than a big plastic toolbox.

Put some steel wool around the hose going through the floor to help keep the mice and chipmunks out! I guess that is after the windows are finished. Anyway, that place is gonna be the ticket for late-season ML hunting for certain!

my understanding is if you want the battery operated fan option, it for some reason is only available through Tractor Supply... the particular model of the big buddy heater they sell. That is according to comments left by buyers online on the Tractor Supply Company online store for this option. These are fairly warm and most often the fan option is not used and you may not want to mess with the required batteries anyhow. In case any viewers were interested.

Dan Klein Mr Heater sells the Buddy heater that has the single ceramic plate with no blower fan, rated for 9,000 btu. The Big Buddy has the internal fan, two ceramic plates and three heat settings of 4,000, 9,000 and 18,000 btu. For a while, a few stores had exclusive rights to the camo version heater which might be what you’re thinking about.

Mr. Heater makes a nice tank mounted heater. If you used one of those you would have the tank in the cabin, away from trespassers/poacher’s access. These heaters work really well. We use them at our cowboy acting shooting matches. Check’em out on Amazon.

Mike. You could always put a little door where the bottle goes in the holder, with hinges either at the bottom, so it hinges down, or the side. But great job nonetheless, I'm feeling warmer already. All the best from the UK, stay safe.

Hello from Scotland. A nice neat way to use zip-ties in this situation is to drill one hole big enough to take the zip-tie through twice, looping around the hose. You're left with just the head out one side and barely notice it around the hose on the other.

Thank you for sharing. Great video as always, and watch team Melissa and Mike work together is excellent. Organization for tools, I have been using a combination of Rigid and Milwaukee Tool pack out systems. Since Milwaukee has increased there selection of boxes and they are larger than the Rigid boxes I have been investing in more Milwaukee boxes. Also they stay dry in the rain. I like the organizer boxes which allow me to have boxes for specific jobs. Happy Holidays and best to you and the family
