ada. because you said “oh since you’re a dancer you can read the minds of other dancers” im only saying if compare this scenario to anything in life - say your sister can make a better cake than you and you’ve always wanted to make the cake they made, you surely would be screaming inside.
@@romillyoops9921 again. That does not relate to what's actually being said. What my point is is that you don't need to be a dancer to assume what someone is thinking, and it seems a bit self elevating to use that title to express an opinion that does not require you to be one thing or the other.
This girl : *Does 96 fouettés on pointe, in pointe shoes, with double turns, somehow remembering to spot every sing time, not stumbling once, and lands perfectly, with no sign of dizziness* People who watch the olympics : ok cool.
just so you know we (as in dancers) don't get dizzy because we do a thing called "spotting" its where you spot a point on a wall and come back to it, you turn your head super quick so you can find the spot again, its a little difficult at first but its really easy to get used to, idk if you were making a joke or not but just to let you know :)
Bruh that's the most annoying thing in the world... It happens apparently when you're sitting or lying down too much and all your blood goes to your legs and takes a bit to pump back to your head and it's supposed to help of you clench your leg muscles when standing up but I always forget until it happens and then I'm just standing there like NOT AGAIN
The hardest turn in ballet. For example the ballerina who plays Odette/Odile in Swan Lake is required to do 32 fouettes and it is considered incredibly difficult and this girl did 96 of them. If you want to know the physics behind it, here's an interesting video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l5VgOdgptRg.html&ab_channel=TED-Ed
All dancers everywhere : I've practiced this combo 10000 times, perfected each movement until it looks effortlessly graceful, all of my bones and muscles have been pushed to their limi- dance instructors everywhere : what was that mess?? I'll tell you: that was utter hot garbage that no audience deserves to see, TRY AGAIN
AB Farrow dame I get more dizzy when I spot and less diZzy if I don’t, but I’m sure she didnt get dizzy actually doing it but she was dizzy when she stopped
The pianist is just like, "we still going? Oh wow, okay then. One more verse. Okay another... alrighty let's just plan on playing this song forever" Also her calves must be dead-
More like genevieve or one of her sisters from 12 dancing princesses 😅 The amount of twirls and turns in that movie is just a LOT. 😂😂😂 it's my fave barbie movie tho HAHA
I have been playing with Barbie since forever and I have only seen 1 movie. But I never finished it since the only time I got to watch it was during a car ride.
sorry for correcting you but the correct term would be turns or a la secondes (again not trying to be rude but that’s the terminology just so you know❤️)
Probably not- As a ballet dancer they're tired from those fouettes. I've done 2-3 years of training and I haven't perfected my turns yet. I'm pretty sure they are amazed by that..
@@lauratude5132 That is def not what dancers think about when another person does something amazing like that. We basically think that we now should practice and achieve that level of skill.
@@repent. i dont know much about ballet but spinning for 1 minute and a half without stopping a second?? I think that everyone would get dizzy at one point. Or tired
Girl: does 96 fouettés not including the doubles plus changing spot en pointe without falling or stumbling lands perfectly Teacher: "Ok cool. Phew. Ok. Ok." Girl: wtf I did 96 fouettés and all I get is an ok???
@@Mica_T i agree changing spot is not a good thing, but the good thing is that she adapts her spot and then catch the front spot again !! And that's great (
She did change her spot but it was clearly choreographed that way so it's not a bad things it's the same if you are doing directionals or reverse directionals
SHE DID THAT SHIT WHILE CHANGING SPOT AND ARMS AND DOING DOUBLES AND SO CLEAN AND STUCK LANDING but if you wanna hear something really impressive I can do like 4 (on a good day lol)
People: the other girls are mad. Me if I was there: gurl, thanks, I don't wanna dance anymore, thanks for the break, only you have to suffer, you're our saviour
@Abbey Frailing Given the context of this video and the fact that it's ballet in pointe shoes, I think it's about her toes rather than her leg muscles, like callouses, corns, blisters, bruised toe nails etc.
@@katerinaliakou5549 it’s also about leg and core muscles. Notice how her one leg never touched the floor? And this kind of spin is supposed to be done in a restricted space. But it is understandable since she has been doing a lot of them. You can tell she’s losing her strength when she’s drifting around. And the stretch is also necessary for the dance. There are many choreographies that requires a ballet dancer to stretch out.
Jimmy Williams lmao did u read my comment I’m mimicking the people who say it isn’t a sport I’m literally on ur side so chill haha. I get it I am a competitive dancer for the top Texas academy and do 22 hours of dance. I have to be online schooled for the amount of dance I do so yea duh I think it’s a sport ...
Itzel Hinojosa The purpose of ballet isn’t to compete for entretainment. People go watch soccer to see their team win, not to see dudes chasing a ball. People go watch a ballet performance. That there are dance competitions and we ballerinas are competitive doesn’t mean it is considered a sport.
This is a story from when I was in gymnastics 5 years in at 7 years old - best person in my class and everyone else was 11+ teacher ' ok let's go on the trampoline your each going to show me one of the following : front handspring, front tuck, front layout, back handspring, back tuck, back layout, and a double front or back tuck if you can," me ' hopefully she'll finally notice that I'm a decent gymnast and they should finally move me into seniors as some of these girls here can barley do a 3 quarter giant on bars ' * it's finally my turn ( last ) * me - 😄 * gets on trampoline and walks to starting point * teacher - ' you can't do any of that stuff Rosie - let's just stick to tuck and straddle jumps ' me - excuse me I could do five back handsprings in a row on gravel if I wanted to have you not been paying any attention to me whatsoever or something? I've been here the longest and your not even going to let me do a front tuck on the trampoline?!
The teacher sounds like an old- school Russian lady hehe. These is no clapping or even thinking of it for the dancer. It’s just part of your day. “Tomorrow do 100”. Russian mentality (I’m Russian btw and did ballet)
Ballet is the most intimidating dance. With other dance styles, your classmates hype you up and there's a lot of cheering and support. With ballet...you can do 96 fouettes and no one is clapping, and the teacher critiques in the end. I can imagine it is mentally straining and makes you have perfectionism issues.
This is amazing and you're only 14!!! You are such an amazing dancer and you have so many years ahead of you. I can't wait to watch you grow as a dancer and see what else you accomplish. You're such an inspiration to me and I love watching you dance!!
She IS amazing! Surprisingly, teachers say that students can do more fouettes at this age because they are in top form. So they push them to do as many as they can so those 32 will seem piece of cake when they reach adulthood.
Jeannette Nini SAME! 😃 I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed lol! I'm right handed and always have been and I've never been ambidextrous... but for some reason as I got older I discovered was a 'lefty' in ballet when it came to pirouettes (turning to the left) but also my left leg and foot was always slightly better when it came to things like strength and flexibility too...wtf? Only other thing my 'right side' sucks at is vision lol - I've got a 'lazy right eye' which unfortunately was never cured despite treatment as a kid. But yeah, it always felt weird being the only 'lefty' in my class when we used to do fun stuff like have fouetté "competitions" 😊
Ya I'm terrible on my right, but my left turns are pretty good if I say so myself. And one we're creating our year end dances, they always add pirouettes in our right foot! Somehow sometimes I can pull it off, but once in my class I just kept on falling after it! #thestugglesarereal
@@alien3k740 it takes a lot of practice...trust me u will get better...i never thought i could do one but here i am having to do 8 in a group dance 😂 wishing u luck sis ☺
