Jimmie Ward is the last link to the Jim Harbaugh era on this current 49ers team. I used to not be a fan of Ward at all but now I think he isn’t being appreciated enough so seeing him on here is great.

I remember I started watching the niners during the Harbaugh Era when we drafted ward and he's the last remnant from those days. Remember folks wanted him gone a few years back but I actually think his game has improved tremendously with age. Dude is a dawg too

Honestly one could make the case he deserved to be higher. You've heard the term 'shutdown corner' but Jimmie is a shutdown safety. Teams do their diligence on him in preparation, and acknowledge that he's not someone to test.

I remember Niner Fans wanted Jimmy Ward cut, released or traded and I kept arguing back with them he was a swiss army knife on defense. Guy played through injuries and lined up anywhere his coaches asked and never complained. It's great to see him finally get the recognition he deserves from fans and the media

He is the longest tenured 49er since Staley retired. He was labeled a bust because he couldn't stay healthy the first 4 years of his career. Ever since he established as a FS and suddenly became a durable player, he has been rock solid on that secondary.
