96 is definitely not a movie...if you have genuinely loved someone and lost ..you will understand the movie and why it's hits where it does... What a masterpiece of story telling and amazing acting by two legends ...a story where nothing happens ...yet that is the most impactful thing

Such love stories are common in India. We have a lot of restrictions on those days from the parents and the teachers to mingle with girls. I too had a past similar to this story. Many scenes in the movie seem to be similar to my life. I watched the movie only one time, then I went to the park near the Cinemas, and cried a lot without a shame. This movie healed the wounds in my heart slowly. I feel much better now. I'll never watch this movie again because I still love my girl. I know her since the age of 12. Now I'm 32 years old. It's been ten years that I never had a chance to see at least a glimpse of her. Maybe someday, I'll meet her somewhere. Only time will decide that!!!

Achara's reaction was exactly mine when I first watched the movie, I cried multiple times while watching it. Happy tears during some scenes. Absolutely devastated during some. What a movie! ♥️

Tears from Achara proves that emotions are same across borders...at the end we are social animals with lot of hidden emotions. This movie's climax brought a lot of pain in my heart...nope, everyone's heart.

Achara's reaction is priceless. Being an Asian she understands the cultural and emotional premises of the movie a lot better than Jaby and other american movie reaction channels. I watched this movie for the first time almost 6 weeks back and my reaction was similar to Achara. This movie was my introduction to Sethupathi who is now one of my all time 3 most favorite actors. Not that Indian movies need any validation from west but it's good to see that a well made craft touches the hearts regardless of culture, language and social orientation.

Proud to be a 96 year born. Crying with you people again after watching this film for endless times. Not only just a movie, its the same which happened in my life. I still love my girl and there is something feels acceptable even if we can stay and live for her recollecting old memories with huge pain.🥺😭😢 I dont think there is a love failure 💔 here for Ram, maybe for her after knowing all. 96 - SOME DETAILS i noted... 🤷🏽‍♂️ (sorry for the Bad English) 1. In the begining of the movie Ram told (to his students) 9 to 6 no talking, no cellphones - stating that audience should experience the movie (96) without any distraction. 2. Jaanu named her girl, MEERA in Tamil , if u flip the name u can form the name RAM மீரா (meera) - ராம் (ram) Stating that Jaanu still loves Ram, & named her daughter from those letters. 3. There is always a gap between Jaanu & Ram in the movie - stating that they are not destined to be together. 4. At the Reunion dinner, Jaanu took the tissue paper in her purse, that Raam bring with the plate. 5. 96 is a Romantic Movie which doesn't have the word " I LOVE YOU " 6. In school days flashback, there is a clip showing younger jaanu's head with different flowers, represents that various seasons of TamilNadu, and the flowers that 90s girls used to have in their head for the respective seasons. 7. In Secondhalf, the hotel room scene where Jaanu calls Ram, the Mobile Ring which rings two times normally,(truuu....truuu) is cutdown by half ring (truuu..) indicates that, he is waiting for her call or try to call her to apologise & attend the call before it rings two times. And Jaanu asks Ram where he is..? and is he far away from her...? And Ram replies " He is standing in the same spot where he left her " Indicates that his life also standing still in the same spot where he left her. And some Details didn't come to my mind now, Thank you so much for your reactions guys... And Achara felt the same which we felt here in the climax. And 96 is the movie in which we all wanted that cinematic fantasized good ending, but gave us the Reality, that we all should have to accept.

This is something that everyone dreams of. Still for most of us this doesnt happen. while seeing the movie, 90% of the people cried becoz of the memories it brought back of the school love. Tears of achara is the best heart felt emotions that most of the people who watched the movie felt.

To be honest, I watched this movie because of your thumbnail and I must say this is one of the best love story I have ever seen. It connects me so well because I have kinda similar story. It reminds me of my childhood crush during my school days. Only difference was that I wasn't too shy like Ram and I never got to see her again after she left. Just like Ram, she had to leave the city but the reason was different. It was because of her dad's job. That time there was no FB, no WhatsApp, not even Orkut. Not even a cellphone. I still remember the last day when I met her. I still remember her beautiful face. I still ask about her whenever I meet my school friends.

I cried just like Achara .... 96 is only movie that I can't see for 2nd time because it was painful for me when I saw it for first time...and I have no courage to go through that pain 😞😞

I watched this review more than 100 times. Real cry is hard to find now these days. Some of us come this world without pain, lead a wonderful life then left. We don't understand pain or similar feelings. Think about people like Ram and Janu, through this pain they would leave the world with the knowledge of true essence of love.; Love is not that easy matter.
