When you took it off of the vase and the "tentacles?" Bent down it was so interesting! I loved it that way also. Maybe you could try a three layer one with the short little pokies and the long bendies and the long straight spikies.. Can't wait to watch your next video!!!

It's like a spider with 20 legs. Seriously its brilliant when put together as a splash. Your the first I've seen with that. It looks exactly like a splash although with a little bit of thinking it can become many things. A woderful conversation piece. More please, soon!!!💖💖💖

It’s as good to see things not going as you thought as it is seeing things perfect for me. Very reassuring for this complete newbie. I haven’t even begun 😁 Of course I’m not going to try this straight away, but I think you will still have a nice wide bowl from your first attempt.

Julie when you’re afraid of melting the plastic you can use a BBQ lighter instead of a heat gun.. the ones that are like a cigarette lighter but they have a long skinny metal extension for the flames tip 🔥 . Just stay away from the plastic a wee bit 👌 I come back over every 5- 10 minutes for probably 3 or 4 times and pop the bubbles with the lighter and it works great. Then I can use the plastic again sometimes. Also great for using in molds as it’s less heat and less damaging. We get them at the dollar stores. They run out pretty quick so get a couple. Lovely as always!! 🎯💯🌹

That's awesome Julie, love that you're not scared to start over, looks like a proper splash in the ocean when put together💖.. When I do these sculptures I just pour onto the plastic on the table just use your stirring sticks under the plastic to keep it in place.. I normally put them further out to allow the resin to move a little then you get a more even consistency and depth throughout 💖💖

Your bowl is very pretty and interesting. Oh yes, I just saw the final picture. It turned out beautifully now that it has dried. Kuddos to you for not being afraid to try new things.

That's really cool, it's like a big exotic flower. I love it!

Also I've seen ppl put another layer of plastic on top and put a bowl or something over the top to weigh it down. Or take the edges of the plastic and tape it down to the table after it's draped so it helps keep the shape of the curve

On the 1st one to flatten down bottom use a large can or 2 to weight it down. Works perfect when I have a wobbly! Generally I let it sit a day or 2 and bamm its flat!😁❤

OMG I am so doing one of these Julie !!! I love the base piece as well, you could pour a layer of resin into it and add sand and a few little shells then sit the vase onto it or however you find easiest. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️

Clear glass glitter or shards, completely disappear in resin. I did not know. Found out, though. Sprinkled the glass shards and boom, could not see them anywhere. Colored glass works but not clear. But, on the other hand, it works as a great filler so you use less rein. It's in there taking up space, but you can not see it so it does not effect the look. Thank you for doing this video. I always wondered how this was done. Makes a beautiful end result.

Yeah that turned out FANTASTIC!! I've been experimenting with Gorilla glue as resin and food colouring. All three types of Gorilla Glue will give a different colour. The brown stuff will make a teal colour and actually looks like sea foam

i like the ones that look like a hole bowel but like this colour.i have seen people use bands around it while its still in the drying before they take the plastic of to keep shape
