Today Maria went to visit her 98-year-old grandmother who lives alone high in the Carpathian mountains! They prepared a traditional favorite dinner together.

Mountain, rural living really adds 30 more yrs to one’s life. The pure ess of air, water, food & the serenity of communion with mother nature, and absence of stressful demands of urban life are the true ingredients to long life that God intended for Man. I feel envious to these folks and plan to relocate to the farms even if I am now in my 70’s.

What a beautiful, peaceful place to live! Grandma is made of some very strong stuff.❤ I remember as a small child (I'm 71 now) I remember my great-grandmas, both of them has horrible arthritis in their hands, but boy could they peel potatoes! 😂❤❤❤ I can taste my grandma's homecannned tomato juice as they drink it.😊
I can not blame Maria's precious grandmother from not wanting to come down from her mountain. As you get older, you want to protect your peace. You prefer quality over quantity in life, including friends. I learned that with age, I wanted to be liked and a people pleaser at a young age. Now, at 53, I know who and what I need in my life.
