The installations of a 99-06 Silverado 3” Leveling Kit , Step By Step for self installation! Follow these easy steps to install in your own home garage!
@briankotofsky4695 the company that sold it to me did not provide the correct information to match to the truck I just ended up buying a 3 inch lift kit from rough country. These leveling kits are garbage
You don’t have to use longer shocks but it’s recommended. I’ve also installed many shock absorber extenders. It looks like a drop spindle for the rear of the truck but for the shock
Hello good sir, hoping you can share a bit of advice. Starting off, I had recently installed a similar lift kit to yours. It was a MotoFab 3” for my ‘05 Silverado 1500 2WD. I had also installed Rough country extended shocks to alleviate the pressure. My question is this: did your coil springs touch or almost touch your front shocks when the truck was at rest? My driver side has about 1/4 inch clearance on the inside and my passenger side has about 2mm clearance on the inside. Wondering if you had the same issue and how it’s held up for you. Thanks for the vid too!
@@ChubzTheDrummer702 some but just drove 1750 miles across the country, with about 1000 pounds of cargo in the truck, without issue. If you hate the rattles, spray some oil on the shocks where they may touch the springs.
@@ChubzTheDrummer702 I don’t have all that going on. Gotta ask: did you replace your control arms? Uppers specifically? Can’t comment on if that’s making the noise but I replaced mine with some SPC 2 degree cambered UCAs to specifically avoid that issue. I also only have ~70k miles on the truck. Get a buddy, and have him rock the truck back and forth from the front. It’s not too heavy so it rocks with ease. Get under the truck and touch each part of the suspension as he’s rocking it. The noise will cause noticeable vibrations in the part affected.
Well… I just got to look underneath the truck. Turns out my one shock is rubbing on the spring, and the other shock is broken in half LMFAO !! How did that happen?
This was not a good instructional video. The proper wrench sizes should always be used to avoid stripping out bolts and nuts. Did you use a spacer at the top and what size?
