37yr old South African. Remember Tich on 5fm growing up in high school. Tich's story about going onto the radio live by accident is similar to Les Browns story! Super interesting!
Don't stress Kuda. Look at the world today. The worst thing you could do is look at anothers life and fail to live yours. Take inspiration from his life, like we all do, but never look down upon your own life. You have 15 years to 40 the world can change a lot in that time.
So Profound.....hats off to you my brother. The story of the guy seated next to you there has never been so profoundly told like here.Thats a legend in our lifetime there.Salute.
Woza weekend simply sounds like this is what Mini Dhlamini reinvented. Not that I am taking anything away from her but her shows mixes fashion, lifestyle, and sport. SoPround, thanks for this great, amazing interview.
He was great on 5FM in 96, he shared the airwaves with radio legends like Alex Jay, Mark Gillman, Sasha Martinengo and Ian F...I sat in my dad`s lonely ass carpet shop in Alberton as a fresh out of school 18 year old , dying of boredom, and not trusted enough to do any paperwork..my job was to deal with the 3 or so customers that actually walked into the shop every week...having a radio and what I know now as the best music from the best decade that radio/pop music has ever put out was the only thing that kept me sane when I worked there... I`d gladly go back for a week sitting in that dead ass shop doing nothing but smoking copious amounts of Chesterfield Lights and drinking tonnes of Nescafe instant coffee...with the radio dialed into 5FM...
Loving the interview However, just a point of correction at 38:00.....Chicco was the producer of Brenda Fassie's Weekend Special. Weekend Special was produced by Mally Watson.
