My Manx adopted me, she escaped for a neighborhood house fire. I fed her a couple of times and she never left, the previous family also told me to keep her since the elderly lady couldn't take care for her anymore. She is super sweet, sometimes a little too much. Anytime I'm doing something on the workbench she tries to "help" or she'll jump into my motorcycle panniers when I'm about to go on a ride. I wasn't a cat person before her.
I've had 11(several at once) manx so you could say I'm a little obsessed. My 1st was a black male named Jinx when I was 17. These are just the best cats so loyal and actually dog- like in a lot of ways.
My sister used to have a beautiful tuxedo Manx cat. His hair was medium length and was silky to the touch. My sister got him when he was a kitten and even his sibling that was a cute grey tabby kitten. I was living with her at that time, too. We did named the tuxedo one Taboo and the tabby one Pepper. Both kittens were both cute. They were both 5 weeks old when we got them both. The vet did know that they both weren’t 7 weeks old. By June that the tabby one had some health issues and was put down. My sister did cried. It wasn’t right away when my sister heard the vet that the pet shop that sold her the kitten or something. My sister went to another pet store that was next to the vet. She had gotten a cute red tabby kitten. It wasn’t a Manx kitten. We named him Salem. Taboo and Salem grew up together as friends. They did slept next to each other. My sister had Taboo for almost 5 years. To me he was a beautiful cat with the fur.
Recently had a manx show up out of nowhere, just moved right into our garage. She was chipped and we reunited her with her owner. 12 miles away! We determined rhat she rode that distance in an engine compartment, as our neighbor works on cars. she appeared as he popped the hood. Her name isJasmine and she was ready to just start living with us, as if she was our cat. She was the sweetest thing. Microchips work!!!
I adopted a female tabby marked one without actually knowing it. They thought she was just missing a tail but she was a Manx. She’s about 8-9 weeks old now and prolly the most energetic fun cat I’ve owned
I have two at the moment a tuxedo called Tony Montana and a big ginger boy called Bob both don't leave my side and are always having a conversation with me
My female cat Halo has a tail and is a manx and we've gotten 4 kittens currently 3 without a tail and 1 with a tail so I'm not sure how the gene can't be passed down by a tailed cat
I am not sure if I have a Manx cat as it has a long tail. But she keeps having litters with some kittens with no tail??? In your video it said if they have a long tail their mutated gene will not carry to their kittens though. A cat born with no tail is new to me. And it is not the male who would be Manx because be also ended up breading the other cat. Her kittens all had normal tails. P.S. also clearly looking into getting one spayed in the near future.
That is not normal. It could be her diet or anxiety. Take your cat to a vet to be checked .She or he Could have parasites as well. I am sure surprised you haven’t had your kitty to the vet.
