The one thing I can say is Milwaukee has truly stepped up the game for quality tools. I have had almost every other tool on the market over the 50 plus years and almost every other tool I own has given up or was done within a short time. Milwaukee on the other hand has just kept going and going. I can't say enough about the Milwaukee brand of tools, they are the best of the best tools in the industry today. Thank up and Milwaukee for bring all of us the reasons we buy the best. Rock
These Milwaukee bits are literally incredible. I've had to use a #2 Philips to make a washer just a little bit wider to fit a screw through it. Dont recomend it but works great in a pinch and had no wear in my bit
This is Jason here. I have a small renovation company in Michigan. I just started watching your channel brother...love it. I have all the new pack out stuff...from Rigid. All my storage is Milwakee but I'm a Dewalt guy for life. Everybody has good stuff yknow. I'm also a Harbor Freight man....all day
I use my stuff in the professional automotive world so those carbide tip bits look like a must have. I regularly see stubborn torx on things like brake rotors that give standard bits a beating.
You all probably dont care but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
Great video Vince. Thanks for sharing the latest real world technological application information , VCG provides a great service to the end users in the field in an enjoyable format. The retail sales people I encounter when purchasing tools and material are usually well intentioned but clueless. At the end of the day it's about productivity, value, and safety.
Sds plus extension is a must for anyone with a sdsplus drill. When I got into construction bought a sds plus drill I couldn't believe their wasn't a extension for it... problem solved!
@@darkma1ice So first of all that's a driver bit, and secondly you must have that happen a ton of you don't know how to keep your bit lined up....no reason you should be pulling or tilting enough on a driver bit to snap it.
You ask in the description of we already knew about any of these new tools. Short answer, no, but i DID know about the matrix carbide tip because I'm a part of #theverycoolgang!!! MAN I need some of those! Great job, guys and as always...God bless! 😁
I think your audience would like to see a comparison between the new Shockwave bits with the hardened tip and the new Matrix Carbide bits. Test the tip's resistance to wear and cam out. Test each for breakage. Also demonstrate if each design fits a Phillips screw better than the previous generations of Shockwave bits.
Sending a picture to a dedicated email address is actually really nice. Whenever tools say they have a warranty i roll my eyes because the hoops arn't worth jumping through. I googled it to find these bits, what I found is hilarious in light of this bragadocious video: Start quote " Milwaukee announced a new type of impact-rated screwdriver bit in 2019, which they called Shockwave Matrix Carbide. Milwaukee intended for their Shockwave Matrix Carbide screwdriver bits to deliver a higher level of wear resistance, and had initial plans for Phillips, Robertson (square), and Torx (star) tip styles in both 1″ insert bit and 2″ power bit lengths. The company was so confident in Matrix Carbide’s wear resistance that that they backed the accessories with a lifetime tip warranty. *The launch and user feedback did not exactly go according to plan, with the entire line discontinued several months later.* ToolGuyd covered the announcement, launch, and discontinuation in several posts, all of which have been combined here, for a consolidated discussion of the short-lived product lineup. Coverage Timeline Matrix Carbide Announcement - January 2019 Deciphering “Matrix Carbide Steel” - January 2019 Clarifying User Applications - May 2019 Matrix Carbide is Discontinued - August 2019 " End quote
6:25 you could just pre drill holes on the pad at each corner and use drop anchors. Set the cabinet on top and then stick a piece of threaded rod in through the hole with nut and washer on top.
Ditto on the Rotozip bits when they first came out they would also snap almost instantly with a little pressure at 9 to $15 a pack of 4 to 6 bits that adds up pretty fast that's nice they're finally lifting and releasing Patton's for companies to use for a better product for the public now!!!
If Milwaukee stands behind their lifetime tip replacement then I’ll go and buy some rnrn. 1,000s of screws a day and the makita double sided tips work perfect until they break.
The makita gold ones are trash... I bought some double tips and they wear out way too quick. Dip yourself a favor and get the all black Milwaukee shockwave set or the new ones in video
Dam bro you guys have so much great and strong tools I wish I were there I would grad grade some of those bith there good I have some can't even bore one hold
There is a video showing new Milwaukee drill bits breaking as soon as the drill starts. Like the drill bit was made from dry clay. The tip just crumbles.
Who is the COMPETITOR that they are talking about if what they say is so amazing they would be able to name Makita or dewalt etc. Notice how the guy tweeks his wrist on the impact driver on the last test to get the driver bit to snap straight away while she holds her impact driver steady as a die
Even if the sales people are joe Biden’s from my experience Milwaukee bits last way way longer than competitors. That’s why I have spent over $2000 on Milwaukee tools at my house. I love repairing stuff for people and building structures. Milwaukee gets it done. Also 10+ years ago my friend gave me a M18 Milwaukee impact and M18 Drill. The impact finally wore out 2 years ago. It had a LONG life. The drill still works like new. I’m amazed. So everyone I see that’s interested in tools, I lead them into Milwaukee. My boss was a huge dewalt fan and now he is the biggest Milwaukee fan in my state.
Haha, I've watched a lot of these Milwaukee videos and I like their tools but come one. These sales people they have are pulling sales tactics like crazy and this is just one example. Watch starting at 7:50 when she shows the competition vs the carbide blade. There are 5 screws, left to right. She uses the competition DeWalt and destroys the tip on screw #1, then says, lets see if it can still drive screws. She inserts the tip into the stripped screw and says oh look it doesn't work. When she does the Milwaukee, she grinds the bit own a bit on screw #1, wipes the bit off then says lets see if it can continue to drive screws but conveniently inserts the Milwaukee bit into the non-stripped screw #2 and then #3 and it drives them without issue. I'm sure the competition could have done the same if you did a fair comparison. Freaking shady sales people. It;s hard to believe the contractors and tool review guys that are their filming don't call them out on this crap. Make it honest and fair. Again, look at other videos, the same false sales tactics are everywhere when comparing to the competition. Yea, Milwaukee might be better but they like to fluff the stats a bit with these tactics.
No, you're wrong. There are 6 screws left to right on the bottom row when she starts purposely stripping the head on #1. Look at it again and zoom in. It's the camera angle that makes them look the same. You can see this if you actually pay attention to the #2 screw as the #1 screw bends behind it. Then she moves to try and remove #2.
Love Milwaukee stuff. M12 so light and compact and if you dont need huge battery life they are tough to beat but some of these sales "demos" where not exactly like for like.
Are you able to put 2 or more of those extensions on the same drill? It was funny because she said you don’t have to bend over with it but she still was
These were just released a few months ago. www.milwaukeetool.com/News/Press-Releases/Milwaukee-Adds-New-Bits-to-Shockwave-Line-with-Lifetime-Tip-Warranty
all that is is a fancy magic show theres probably a bur that you cant see to make that snap off like that i bet it snaps the Milwaukee bit on that side to lmao
No, you could have done the same thing to the dewalt bit 10x and it would still put a new screw in. I'm sure the Milwaukee is tougher than most but this is just misleading. Think about it, the screws are way softer than the bits.
Anyone else notice on the matrix bits she rounded the screw on her left. Then went to drive the screw in and failed, then rounded the same screw with the matrix bit and then skipped and went to the second one from the left. 🤔 I really love Milwaukee’s products but its false advertising and also when you use the product its below expectation and puts people off.
I love how the lady rounds out the screw head and tries to screw it in. Of course it won’t screw in. You rounded it out. But when she went to Milwaukee she did the same thing except this time she screwed in the screws that she didn’t round out. I’m sure if she took the competitor Philips head and screwed the new screws she didn’t touch, it would also screw in
8:29 I've been telling EVERYONE for 30 years if your Screw Driver Bits don't shatter like Glass there JUNK !!! Shattered Many SNAP ON SDM 262R and SDM 252R bits
The sds extender is nifty but I true installer always has the longer bits with them no one goes to the site with out an 18 inch bit come on. Couldn't see in detail with the wench demo. I want to see self tappers and thick aluminum door frames. I install maglocks and wandering systems I brake bits all the time I'll give the matrix a shot but I wont believe till I try.
Hi Guys!!! Pretty impressive tests. One question I have is...on the torque test of the new (non-matrix) bit vs a competitor bit, where both m18 fuel impacts set on the same speed? If the competitor was set on Speed #3 and Milwaukee set on say Speed #1 or #2, wouldn't that contribute to the competitor bit breaking faster? Just wondering.
You can see how fast the competitor's force shots up to thirty something, while the Milwaukee one gradually increased up to 38 lbs much slower. Just remember, these "tests," regardless of which company is demoing them, are all knocked in their favor. What is the "competitor bit." Is it Bosch, DeWalt, Irwin, harbor freight, eBay... Get it? They're going to pick tree absolute weakest one to go against the Milwaukee. Are they the best bits? Maybe. I wouldn't doubt it. But that test would flatten out if it was a bit from another one of those first 3 manufacturers, rather than the last 2. They're marketing, just like every other company does.
Hey, I just watched that test in slow-motion (just changed the RU-vid playback speed) a few minutes ago. The competitor bit broke at about 17.6 while the Milwaukee bit was at 3.5. So, how did the competitor bit arrive at over 5 times the pull (17.6 /3.5 = 5.03) of the Milwaukee so quickly if both impacts were the same make/model (M18 Fuel, I assume) and at the same speed setting? If everything was the same, then maybe the competitor guy was instantly going full-max throttle on his impact while the Milwaukee lady was gradually pulling on her impact throttle? However, from the video, it looks like they both hit the impact button pretty hard. As far as the speed setting, it's hard for me to tell what speed setting each impact was on. Hmmmmm....What do you guys think??? :-)
Hey Vince,Do you guys do any kind of giveaways? I’m a big Dewalt tool guy but watching all your videos is making me wonder about Milwaukee tools a lot! So I was just curious thanks keep up the good videos!
Looks good, does Milwaukee make durable and reputable power tools like Makita, stanley and Dewalt or just another home-use power tool maker like Black&Decker, Budget, Skil, Bosch, Krausmann, Einhell? They were not available in my country until recently so I don't know anything about their tools and durability of them.
They compete against Dewalt as a professional brand. They cost more than other brands but not hilti tier. Among union construction tradesmen , it's either milwaukee or Dewalt for cordless power tools. I haven't seen anything else. Mostly Milwaukee because they put out so many trade specific tools every year.
allen quach Ok thanks. In Europe it’s only Makita. You might see a Bosch Pro once or twice, I haven’t seen any construction worker use a Dewalt ever! Also, if you have a Makita here you should carry it in an unbranded bag because thieves really love makitas.I guess they’re high value in black market.
So I recently bought the Milwaukee Cobalt Drill Bit set and really disappointed in what was claimed to drill through metal. It was just 1/8" thick metal. Hardened steel rail for a t-rail that is used on a Liftmaster Garage Door Opener. The bit barely made a dent. Maybe this set is not used for metal like it's claimed. I hate spending money on items that do not work at all. Maybe you can tell me what is going on here. Thank you for your time.
Geez Vince, keep doing them pull-ups, and you’ll have to start doing coverage of the gun show. But on a serious note, what’s with all the trolls lately, sheesh! Good on VCG for not playing the silly games with them and staying above the fray, more patience than I’ve got.
