+Knots, knots, and length of thread are three common construction areas that provide for frustration when sewing quilters' yo yos. So, batting to the rescue!!!!
One quiet evening Stephanie hit on using left over batting to solve all three problems. The solution may seem to take time...but not when compared to starting over on a yo yo when the knot does not stay in place, or when getting ready to gather the thread and material and making another knot. The process seems to increase the number of yo yos that can be made from one span of thread.
Note: Stephanie went back to using a single strand of Coats and Clark quilting thread; it worked well when using today's nice cotton fabrics.
Many quilters would be happy to share their left over batting with you; the batting from their various projects can accumulate quickly.
