In this video I demonstrate the interaction between 99% reduced projectile speed (the lowest possible) and every standard spell skill gem in the game in 3.25 and discuss their potential.
the SSS+ tier for slow proj is ball lightning.... u can stack a shit load of then in the same place to melt bosses, it will be almost the same as "Ball Lightning of Static" but without the limit of projectiles...thats the maim ideia on slow proj... Edit: to explain why Ball Lightning is the GOAT it has do to with how it does the damage, most proj hits the target once as it hit and maybe once more if it explodes, ball lightning functions diferently, it summons a ball that shoots lightning from it, so the damage is based on how long the ball lasts and how long the mob stay inside the area that the ball lightning keeps shooting(the CD between hits is 150ms as per the poewiki information) also multproj does not work with ball lightning on bosses, so u want more cast(spell echo+faster casting) with 1 projectile

Eye of Winter and Icicle Mine are changed a lot here, even though you thought they weren't :) Of course they're not good at all but still very different. Basically you can't see the projectiles at all, even though both skills have a lot of projectiles.

The distance thing on them disappearing is the same as the working towers in Blight, i think the general maths are twice teh screen view and the towers stop working, so it adds up that the projectiles and active spells would follow the same ruleset
Haha wow that would be amazing if so, but, surely they already know I would think xD For example the only other vid I saw on spectral helix had I think like 20 thousand views showing insane uber boss potential. But if they don't know about the brokenness of some of this stuff then maybe it needs to be kept a secret? xD
There are no spells that would repeatedly explode when you hit them (fireball explodes on impact but not on pierce), but several bow attacks can deal AoE damage as long as the arrows still exist. You can collide with up to 20 arrows per Tornado.
Flame Wall is an amazing skill I have never not used on my characters and you need Spell Cascade + 20% quality for max area of effect. Covers a large part of the floor and that makes it easy to shoot all your projectiles through it

Frostbolts have potential for Ice Nova of Frostbolts Hiero. I imagine for bossing - those static Frostbolts will give alot of overlapping Like - Alot KItava's Thirst might work with those Flamewall ideas

Rolling magma gets super strong when you use nimis (or mace rune ennchant for random directions) especially with reduced projectile speed ^^ i wouldent go 99% QoL wise though
I think a super slow ball lightning works pretty solid. Since it ticks for the duration of the spell, super slow ones are the most effective. It is just getting the damage up there so it is viable.
@@NoMoreMrNextYear For sure. I just wouldn't put basic BL or even orbiting into F tier because of 99% making it rather stationary. I think most of these with pierce support and maybe flame wall passthroughs are fine and all. Nothing for bossing though. I did see a helix build with reduced proj speed and it devastates bosses, since you prep a bunch of casts before engaging in many parts of the boss fight.
Creeping Frost and Soulrend do most of their damage with DOTs that they apply (which do not stack/overlap) rather than hits, so despite how cool they look they won't produce reliable damage used this way.
Ha!!! Great minds think alike! I literally made this character to use ball lightning of orbiting because that's what I thought! But, nope. As far as I can tell the orbiting one is also a set, short duration that can't be modified. RIP
reduce projectile speed eye of winter mine is the best skill to one shot ubers. it can make maven skip memory phase. still the best budget boss farmer been 2 year from its made

Rolling magma with nimis and slowed proj just falls right under you and start jumping. One of the best bosser skills if you can combine everything together
Sounds interesting! I knew surely I must be doing something wrong with rolling magma; maybe Ill do a followup video compiling and showing off a small number of the best seeming strategies/spells!
@@NoMoreMrNextYear You don't exactly need nimis, you just need projectiles fired in random directions as far as i know, so you can find an altar mod on a map and just test there with existing character.
Tornado is actually a really decent spell. Bow builds will use it with mana forged arrow support to cause their projectiles to chain. Last league specifically I used it with ele hit of the spectrum and it felt really good when blasting legions.
Ya I ended up looking into it a bit after making this video and am contemplating trying it out on this character stacking up slow projectiles then sending out fully buffed tornados. And ya I saw folks talking about what you mentioned as well. I learned somethin new!
I was thinking of doing spectral helix CoC as a meme video actually but i havent tested it yet. But ya agreed, CoC was my favorite skill in the past long ago in the ancient times and have always wanted to try it out again and so ive have been thinking of how to combine it with red proj speed recently as well xD
For the orb and mine they donot count as your projectiles... as they are the spells projectiles.... very weird. And certain damage increases donot work with them either for this reason.
Just plug this into a cast when stunned setup. It's unfortunate that the bases are so absurdly expensive. Maybe try it with infinite vaal LS and try to melt your computer.
Haha. Ya I was actually thinking about stun too for like perma stun type shenanigans. If you haven't seen spectral helix yet you might my other vid, I'm thinking maybe it will end up as king of the reduced projectile speed skills.
What do you mean nobodye talk about flamewall it litterally in every projectile starter build ) tornado just another multiplier damage in budget builds P.S. you forgot alternative skill gems ^_^
Probably the one I looked at briefly. Yep I actually ended up randomly switching my main from dual strike to helix plus red proj speed ammy and it was like an instant mega upgrade for bossing xD crazy
