i have 50 on my windshield and it is fine at night. mo problems at all.

Even some states in US don't allow it. Just do it anyway. If you do a 80% or 70% tint, it'll hardly be visually noticeable. I'm in NSW and I definitely plan on doing it.

Do clear tints . Nanoceramics are the best but if you can't afford them, 75% and up is pretty much as clear as normal.

Had to purchase new shades (non polarized) after tinting my windshield.

I don't often wear sunglasses, so I'm not sure.

@@bringyourwoodscrews I think this happens regardless of the brand of tint. You can get the rainbow effect looking at screens too with polarized glasses. Now... should I get my windshield tinted and sacrifice polarized glasses? haha

@@daaneel I love polarized glasses but also love my 50% tinted windshield. Tried to live with the combination for a couple weeks but it was too much. Needed a new set of shades anyway, so bought a pair that just stays in that car. It's the only one with the windshield tinted.

Yes, it takes the edge off. I find it to be very good.

My initial reaction is that it's very good. Whatever you do, don't put their anti-static cleaner on it. That smears like crazy. I think STEK is the best clarity. XPEL is still far behind the Suntek and STEK.

@@Psgamer-vu2hp I have the fronts 35% thinking of doing front windshield 80% or more. Zero police interference. I've been to Greece, Italy, Balkans, Germany no issues. Don't go below 35% for the front windows and less than 80% for windshield. Sun kills me and the car gotta do something about it. Nobody will pull you over unless the front windshield is dark. Do nanoceramics so it's clear as glass. IF you must go fake an eye prescription to have it tinted.

Donald Duck005 Interesting but weak. How do you keep from cutting the exterior glass if you are pressing against it with the tip of a razor blade. Logic says there will be a mark on the exterior glass.

@@bertraminc9412 the razor doesn't cut the glass. Go back to what I said about being trained. You don't cut downward, he has it at an angle so the blade slides across the glass, not cutting into it. Do you watch a surgeon do his work and critique it? No because you have no clue what a surgeon is doing.

@@iluvmyeski How do you know that I'm not a surgeon? Of course a razor blade marks glass. Metal is harder than silica by far. Anything harder than glass will mark glass if it's rubbed over it. You may not see most marks with the naked eye but it will in fact mark it. There are many ways to protect the underlying glass but none are used here. That's because the industry is high volume, low profit. You just have to either discuss the process in full detail and demand steps ahead of install or find an installer who understands this and protects the glass. This is the same as DirecTV coming out and pounding a pole into your front yard to install your satellite dish... if you don't call their bullshit and tell them to install a proper bracket on the side of the house and not on the roof, you'll get a fucking pole, right in the middle of your lawn. If you don't insist on it the installer will do what he does on every other car to keep the speed and revenue going. And no amount of "training" as you say will prevent mistakes and errors. He may not have marked this glass but he's certainly marked glass before and he will certainly mark glass again. That's the nature of fast installs with razor close to glass. I've had my window cut by many installers of both windows and tint. Matt seems to understand this and is ok with this process or he wouldn't have done it. If he had a problem with it he would handle it. My comment doesn't have to deal with anyone standing in front of me, working on my 230k car so I don't have to worry about it. This guy is not taking proper steps to protect the car.. he is a high volume medium level care/preparation installer of good window films and in this case installing on a top quality sports car. His finished work may be good but his prep is not well thought out. Only people who work hard all their lives for large earnings and cars like this appreciate what it takes to properly care for a car like this. When you hand it over to someone who doesn't share that feeling, this is what you will get if you don't discuss it and demand proper preparations steps. Matt is obviously aware of this and is ok with the entire thing. Actually, with Matts OCD, I'm very impressed with his restraint and patience with this kind of thing!
