I have never seen in my life a plumber break a toilet tank,a toilet or a sinks and then bending over to pick-up all the pieces with a broom and dustpan ! If you want to remove your tank properly there are only 4 things to unscrew...take your time plus, you won't make a mess or risk cutting yourself or having someone step on a little piece that you didn't see. It is also a lot easier to put with the garbage...

I am a plumber of 35 years. Smashing a toilet tank is insanely dangerous. Plus rubber gloves would be useless against shards of porcelain. I charge $175 an hour labor. So that stupid bottle tank would cost you about $1,200 installed. Meanwhile he installed used tank parts that new cost about $30😆! But you know what the worst part of the entire job is? That tank will not allow the toilet seat to stay in up position 😡.

In countries like Philippines where a handyman or plumber may work all month for 250 dollars / 12,500 pesos, many things are common and normal to save money that are not in USA. In fact many toilets there and in other countries don’t even have a tank, just buckets to flush. On a footnote, many people in the USA were very poor and didn’t even have plumbing or a toilet in the house until the 1940s.

So in case you wonder why so many dislikes. While all these hacks work, they're hacks and they look like hacks. Would I want any of that in my home? No. Would I want to overpay for a prettier solutions? Yes. Plus, normally, a time of a plumber is quite expensive in developed countries. It becomes a lot cheaper to solve plumbing tasks with proper tools rather than hacking around.

Brilliant ideas in this one. Took me ages to work out what the floor mounted sink was, "ah its an Asian style toilet, 😂 and yes before he did the "testing ". Some of these repairs were really only necessary because of the simple installation at the start though, but great fix still. But wow no wonder things leak, the pipes can be cut with scissors, cant do that in Australia, pipes are stronger
