...SONG OF THE DAY!!! 🤘🏿ULTRAMEGAROLOTA🤘🏿 07/06/2021
He was on drugs at this point. He hadn't quite made it to rehab yet. My girl and I have seen them twice so far and our 3rd time is coming up in November. We can't wait. A lot of his music has inspired me personally.
Just started listening to these guys.. so grateful he made it out of the darkness... I know darkness .. 💯👊🏻 Check out Richie Kotzen’s solo stuff if you haven’t.... and enjoy the concert

I don't think I really get this song. Here is what I think although some ideas are inspired by intepretations I read online. I think the first part is his wisdom: Make the best of everything, believe in your dreams and yourself, dust yourself off and move on. However I am not sure because I don't know what it means to talk like a mime and whether it's "steam" or "esteem" (I read both). It could be him parodyzing her view of him too. However he is just laughed at for his attempts of helping and/or his positive attitude and that pisses him off. "Is there an S on my chest" means he's not superman (that wasn't my idea but is very logical) and can't take everything, (maybe the back and forth of whining and asking for advice and then rejecting it) but maybe also that the individual he sings about wants to be saved which isn't his job. He gets nothing but stress from the relationship. He expresses his feelings in a song, and gets them out in front of his fans because he couldn't talk to her - she just cared about herself. They couldn't have a good conversation because she was just talking down on him. All in all it's about quitting an emotionally abusive relationship. BUT... WHAT is it that he does not want her to say? "please stay"?
Dragon Girl I think it's about relationships, or at least ones Justin's been in. The beginning is like what relationships are all about "steam (sex, etc.), dreams, making the best out of everything" but clearly there's part of him no one wants to accept, and they make him keep it to himself and ultimately reject him and/or lose respect for him because of it. I have always seen the chorus as a two way street. It can be HER telling HIM to not say it (the stuff she doesn't wanna hear that's in his mind) and how he doesn't wanna hear her tell him to keep what's on his mind to himself. It's a complete communication breakdown, neither wants to talk or listen to the other. Then stress clearly builds and builds to a breaking point. That's how I see it and relate to it. That frustration that so many people don't wanna hear the truth of what's on your mind and heart, they just want you to be what they want you to be. The way he says it at the end, "I'm sick of standing in your line (waiting on you), so now you'll have to take it. Take this to heart, you will never fuck me over. Stop talking down to me, your war is old, this game is over. So here's my coldest shoulder." Are all those not what relationships become when there isn't communication and respect? A game? A war? Talking down to each other? And ultimately, a break up?
