Finally got me one of these GIANT Toledo Bend bass!! I knew this area had big ones it was only a matter of time. She smoked my Scope Stick and I was able to get big bass of the day! Overall a good first derby and Santee Cooper is up next!

This is why I love my home lake man... last weekend I caught a 9 and a 7 in probably 4 hours of fishing. This last couple of years Toledo has been on freakin fire. Hopefully all this rain we've been getting isn't going to kill a bunch of the new grass we've had because I'd love to have the lake back like it was when I was a kid. MDJ I was just going through some of your rate the bait videos, man what a great series. Hope u get back to doing more, maybe even going over some of the same categories w/ different baits. But can u guys go back to scoring them 1-10 and 5 being average instead of it turning into 7 being a barely passing grade and anything below that is failing.

MDJ...help a bass pro wannabe! We only saw you using two baits in catching your fish. If one of your baits has caught the larger fish but not the numbers, when do you determine to just switch to that particular bait for the remainder of your fishing day? Blessings to you and the family...stay safe.
