+Nad Zul jaekyung won't stop running away, Bini got married, Rana's a successful model and DJ, Lessen is now a business woman, Eunji is studying acting or directing, Sera's happy singing her own songs and not songs she hates, Minha is busy eating away and doing mukbang, Euaerin is partying and traveling like a freed slave. Why bother?
DJ Lessen, was that Lee Sam? Does she have her own songs or is she just a DJ? Sera didn't like singing in 9Muses? OMG, JIN SHOULD HAVE MINHA AS A GUEST STAR ON EAT JIN, THAT WOULD BE SO CUTE, I SHIP!!!
After Sera revealed how uncomfortable the girls were with their debut outfits, it's nice to see they were able to dress better for this video. They look sexy and mature, but in a very subtle and classy way. It's hard to believe they were still very young!
what i love about 9muses girls was that the budget was literally abysmal... a few flashing lights... a couple of rejected hoot outfits fished out of the SM bins... $50 and a DREAM... but the music is SO GOOD I don't even focus on it
This raises the question. How important is looks in kpop? I feel like there way too much focus on appearance than song quality in kpop now days which why it all looks so fake and lacks passion. In the end it’s the music that matters .
YES. The shortest member is 170cm. And Lee Sem is 175cm. These girls are giants. Dal Shabet is second of the tallest. Dal Shabet's maknae Subin's height is 175cm.
Edward James Recido The average height among the members of Nine Muses(before the current departure of some members) is 1.71m. Ryu Sera, the former seonbae or leader of the group, is 1.71m, and she is in fact considered the shortest. The rest are all around 1.73m at least. And yes, Lee Ssem is 1.75m, but she is also a former top supermodel who won a top supermodel contest prior to entering the K-pop industry. I wonder how this group is going to 're-group' after the departure of Sera, Lee Ssem, and Eunji.
Yes and still are today 😄 Eaurin/Erin is now the tallest member i think she is the same height as sem soo theyre new member sojin is actually suprisingly TALLLL and Geumjo new member is 170!!! 9muses are the still tallest
+Ilma Hussain If you look at their shoes in this video, I'm guessing Lee Sem is 6'2" here and Euaerin is just about a half-inch taller. With Lee Sem out of KPOP, Im guessing the tallest girl in KPOP is a tie between Euaerin and Dal Shabet's Subin (There was some girl in F1rst that was their height but since they broke up shes not included)
I think the members of 9MUSES were treated terribly by their agency (Star Empire) so they were all unhappy all the time--that's why there was so much turnover.
I miss this era of Kpop, it’s so second gen and nostalgic and when simple studios were common for MVs and idols looked more individual and less perfect.
Anice Anne yeah they improved at ladies.. but in popularity wise... this was the start of their recognition.. they were once in the top 10 of inki when they promoted this song :D
but considering it got on the top 10 on inkigayo when they promoted many people liked this song thus I conclude many people liked this song and this era.. btw its just my opinion.. been a fan since the beginning i think the creation of this group was the start of the great era of theirs haha (sorry for my english)
I tried multiple times to get into kpop and never could but they managed to pull me right in with a single song of theirs and start 2023 right. Superior!
That’s just sort of a significant feature of Kpop. Almost all songs feature rapped sections partially due to some members not having strong vocal abilities but being pretty and talented enough in dancing and other areas of idol life that they need something to do in songs. I kinda accept it
Hyuna, BlackJack, Blink then they can just lip sync or sing easy parts, instead of forcing a rap into a song that doesn’t need rap, worst part is that they can’t rap either,
exactly! this so uplifting! Even when I'm in the worst mood this lift my spirits. Amazing. Also their song News... that is the closest thing to antidepressant!!
They came back with this after the Playboy disaster, and came back with such confidence. I have seen their practice video, and how hard they had practiced, all in sync. This was their do Or die situation, but they never got the appreciation that they deserved for their hard work.
+Tanya37red It's because they are under Star Empire, a company that doesn't have the resources to promote like the other companies. Look at their roster: V.O.S., ZE:A and Nine Muses. All great groups but none are big stars (although Hurt Locker certainly helped). I also think back then people thought of Nine Muses as a gimmick group - Lets put models together - and didnt take them serious at first.
+James Rawlins I'm sorry did you just say V.O.S is not famous? It was one of the biggest kpop groups back in its days. Jewelry as well, which came from SE was extremely popular but of course, due to SE and their shitty management, they had members coming and leaving and by 2010, when they were at their highest peak, they had like 10 members and most people left the fandom and they disbanded soon. ZE:A's Kwanghee, Hyungsik and Siwan are very popular while the rest of the group may not be so. And Kyungri from Namyu is now recognized as a sex icon in Korea due to her incredible looks and amazing body. Many men are now looking towards her to become the next "IT" girl.
+James Rawlins Also, Nine Muses was never unknown. After their debut year, they started getting attention for their catchy music, that is, from Figaro. Many people wrote articles on them and Sera immediately caught everyone's eye. Sera then became known as the visual, main vocalist, center/face and leader of the group. Nine Muses' title tracks have always made it into the Top 20-Top 25 except for No Playboy (Which I loved as well). Drama, then became their highest charting song at a peak of 13. Drama sold more than 250,000 digital copies. Hurt Locker was number 7 on Billboard World Albums Chart and by September, they were on number 20, ahead of After School, Hello Venus, Red Velvet, Gfriend, Dal Shabet and more in terms of fanclub members number(22,596, last time I checked, the chart said they added 596 more members).
I don't know their ages at that time, but it's so refreshing to see women looking and acting like regular women, without trying to act all cutesy and/or overly sexy. There's something very real and natural about their performances and I love it
there is Playboy, their debut song, Figaro which is supposed to be a retro song has a playful and still sexy/acttrative but also cute vibe into it. They pull it all off really well, but when I call Playboy overly sexual or something like that, I don't mean it's p*rn inspired (I think out got it) but it's indeed sexy and especifically unnatural because they were forced during the trainning and performance times to act in a especifically sexy way, they had to dance and sing while being badly injured, to wear especifical clothes very revealing clothes and lay in the floor with a nearly fully naked men when some of the members where underage
One of the BEST 9muses song and yet the only publicly known member is kyungri yet she's not even in this video. When will korea wake up and appreciate 9muses as a whole so the chances of members quitting will decrease
+Xiumin The members don't quit, I can tell you that. Since Kyungri's debut she has become the new face of sexiness for the group, that intensified when Sam left. Nonetheless, it's good that she is well known, somewhat of a diversified marketing.
she purposely delayed her debut with the muses because other agencies were hiring backup dancers and singers immediately, so she used that as an advantage to gain money and experience, she was also part of the original line-up to debute as the 2010 muses same with sungah but, she also delayed her debut because she wanted to finish her studies in the university
@@knightenchanter7908 kyungri is. She everywhere. In CF another artist MV and have bunch solo schedule and she also in tv show. Sera start to be famous after she start to make reaction video on her RU-vid. Before that. She only post her pure music and cover
what I love about old kpop songs is that the BASS is always where it NEEDS to be.. and not a single atom more! its not ALL OVER THE SONG like in modern Kpop songs.. to the point where you can't even pick up details from the vocals anymore! bass is like butter.. its absolutely mindblowing when you add it to any food.. but eating butter only will get you feeling sick pretty f fast
I can still remember year 2011 and this song was playing in the background while I'm making dresses, and yes this group has a huge impact of me being a Fashion Designer
James Hardway go the there officiel fanclub or the there officiel facebook page or to allkpop you will see the news :(((((( they left to presue there modeling and acting and hosting activities.....it is a really sad thing but we hope the best for theme ;( eunji
Dang this song never gets old and always the last song syndrome..it has a lot of recall, the beat is phenomenal and the song overall is so fab. Actually they are and this song inspired me to be a fashion designer . Who is listening to this today August 2019?
we finally made it after 2 years of releasing this awesome song ...1M we reached you :D thank you for everyone who participated in helping us reaching 1m and a big thanks for MINES
Okay, so, this is just my opinion but if this would have been chosen to be their debut song instead, they would have gain a lot of attention, in a good way, of course, and they could have had a really successful career. No offense to No Playboy, but although I love that song, to this day, I still imagined what would it be like if this was their debut song instead.
Because they debuted when Snsd was already famous and in top 1 tier girlgroup back then, and they got compared for being copy snsd of 9 members, although I think they served more balance in both vocals and raps than snsd
Hands off to one of the best yet underrated girl group of Korea :( Been a fan of 9M since this era and they are amazing. They keep on releasing quality songs even now. And I respect Hyemi so much because she's been a muse since the beginning and she renewed her contract today. The last original Muse remaining!
Lee Sem really is like a supermodel. She has that unique beauty that Tyra Banks is obsessed with. (also, Erin's pout at 2:14 is the cutest thing ever.)
I really like this, reminds me of something the Spice Girls could have done. It's a cheerful and happy sound, even though I can't understand Korean, I still love it!
after decades trying to figure out this song existence FINALLY thank god its 2018 like really i shed a joy tear to look back at each struggle just trying to find this song:(
