Travis is a fraud anyways. -His ex-manager admitted they manipulated his soundcloud numbers to get him signed onto a record label at the beginning of his career. He ditched all those people who made him who he is now. But at least Rocky still acknowledges Yams for all he has done to help his career. Crazy because Travis' raw rap talent isn't even that good. He heavily relies on autotune in his music. He's more of a psychedelic singer that sometimes raps, his flow isn't anything crazy. He's the purest of industry plants as they come. Most rappers/singers are that reach that level of mainstream success, but his come-on story was completely manipulated. -Ex workers of Travis said that they weren't surprised with his actions at Astroworld. After all, there is a video of him encouraging the crowd to beat up a kid for stealing his shoe at his previous concert. Rocky on the other hand, has been shown to have reasonable and helpful behaviour in those conditions. There is a video on TikTok about it that I saw on Reddit, but I don't use TikTok, for obvious reasons haha. -If you dive deeper there is even an old Tumblr account of Travis that is cringe as absolute hell. It mentions p*rn was one of his biggest inspirations of making music. Yikes man. I mean why admit that? Just weird asf, but then again, most rappers are zooted, so he can't be singled out as being weird for it. Rocky is no saint and has made mistakes but he is 10x the person Travis is, and Travis should be delighted people mistake him for Rocky at this rate. Much better personality too. The only thing I criticise Rocky for is his association with Bari and Ian Connor. He needs to stop seeing and communicating with those guys, they should be in jail for the awful things they did to women that was proven. The stuff he said about lipstick and BLM was taken out of context. Most people are guilty of expressing an opinion in a way that can be misconstrued.

I think everyone has faults but to act like you are superior when someone mistakes you for ASAP shows his character.

Like before the controversy with the Astroworld tragedy (10 people died, many injured RIP) he was probably the 2nd / 3rd biggest rapper in the game in terms of numbers after Drake and Kanye. I'd say he was ahead of Kanye actually because JiK flopped and generally in terms of RU-vid views, Kanye lags behind there too because he's become less involved in music videos which are great for promotion. Travis' music just appealed so well to the mainstream because the vibes of his music had that feeling someone was on drugs. Like goosebumps and highest in the room. Perfect to bump at concerts for the GP. Funny that because even Rocky did that stuff before him with LSD, but Rocky never dedicated a whole album to the concept which is why he isn't as popular as Travis. Rocky is far more experimental and varied with his music in terms of sound and rap flow. He is a better rapper with worse music as the general public would call it. Too much experimentation alienates a lot of fans because they want to hear the same thing for 2 years before wanting something different. It's a shame Travis is the way he is. It's kind of confusing. Like he acts so shy in interviews but his actions suggest he is immature asf, is self-centered and just awkward as hell. You can't even connect the dots properly. He one strange mf.

I honestly couldn’t name any of his songs but my sons tell me I’ve heard him on the radio or television before lol . ASAP I am more familiar with he is from Harlem, he grew up very close to the neighborhood I was born and raised, I have close fam that personally know members of ASAP. I like his story from humble beginnings to a star. He took maybe too long of breaks to do other things and after Yams death artists have to be consistently dropping music to stay relevant today. And as you mentioned too experimental probably should have continued what was working before switching up. Travis does seem shy and weird during interviews whereas ASAP is the opposite lol
