Recently, (June 21, 2021), Nobuo HARA, the leader of this band(Nobuo HARA and sharps and flats), passed away from pneumonia at the age of 94. Nobuo Hara was like the founder of the Japanese big band, and all Japanese people remember his achievements with great regret. Thank you for your wonderful comments.
Thanks to all the foreign bands who have chosen to keep this beautiful music alive. Here in the States we're listening to garbage and our young people don't know the difference!!!
The reason why i always admire Japanese, whatever it is they are doing, they always did it with such finesse. I cried listening to this rendition because it is too good lol
What a pleasant and at the same time precise performance of this popular masterpiece! All the soloists are true virtuosi. I've missed this big band for more than ten years.
An impressive swinging "Take The A Train". This band has chops-a-plenty in all departments: loved the ensemble unison choruses and cameo solos. I'm sure The Duke would love it.
superlative brilliance / performance in both the artistry and engineering this group makes for a good listen anytime - the notion of a "bad note" is unknown to them . . .Thank you ALL
