@@bb-gb7jv maybe it doesn't have a fancy engineering blueprint for the phone design like apple does, but you have to admit what they did in this phone is perfectly fitted, nothing short, nothing overkilled, and it has everything you can think of in today's phone market. Plus solid build quality. So, it is impressive
@@FadiKdy it's not a consumer phone where that matters, this is intended mostly as an external monitor and 5g hub for sony mirrorless cameras. imo this is the closest any phone has ever gotten to deserving the 'pro' name
Be happy my man, I dream to have another sony phone after my z5 premium, it still works like a charm except for being outdated, and the battery life being low with the 4k display, there's no phones like sony, lg and also Samsung note series, although, I can buy a brand new note, I will rather wait for a better sony phone, with a high refresh screen.

Nice teardown :) This phone is definitely worthy of the term "professional" or "pro", unlike other phones that don't have headphone ports, expandable storage or fingerprint readers...

I'm sure that if proper brands like sennheiser would offer a sponsorship, they would gladly throw raycons in the trash where they belong, until then they're gonna keep sponsoring them.
Honestly, just get a RU-vid app with sponsor block built in and it stops bothering ya as much. I used to get really annoyed at the raycon ads, but now I just pretend they don't happen :)

Watching this on my MKii, I'm pretty proud to see how far Sony's come. Comparing user experience between other phones is challenging because Sony's are so specific, but that's what I like about them

@@Camilkzee I mean, it is made for a certain subset of people, not for you and I. It's about innovation, it has a 4k display when many competitors (for instance, the one that has a fruit logo) has barely just begun using 1080p panels, and others are reverting from Quad HD to 1080p panels (Shitsung). And I still don't get what's wrong with plastic casing. I am still mad that they barely make any premium phones with plastic. I mean Samsung does but their phone is absolutely shit let's be honest. So much effort put into making a phone that looks amazing, but then they go and give it a glass back and suddenly you can't show off the beauty because you have to put a case on it. What's the point?
@@Camilkzee for the people this is marketed to, who needs everything this phone offers, the 2500$ is the very least they need to spend in order to source other equipment (more than one) just to function as this one phone does. So yes. It's worth it.
@Anand Raj I have the XZ2P, 4k HDR display but LCD instead of OLED. The comments I got from friends who has flagship phones with 1440p screen is that, at 4k, my phone is visibly sharper than theirs at 1440p. Every small minute details in 4k hdr 60 FPS comparison, phone phone was sharper. Maybe 1080p to 1440p isn't clear in difference but with 4k, it's much more clear even on a small display. Don't listen to those that say, 'the density doesn't make a difference pass xxx'

The colored screws are for manufacturing. Each type of screw a different color. Makes it easier for a line operator to know where to place them. Safer for logistics on the manufacturing floor, too. The shortest and longest ones are the same color because they can't be confused with each other, I guess.

For someone who literally tries to show the "quality" of things, im very surprised you would accept a sponsorship for raycons. They are incredibly cheap and awful Bluetooth headphones that no one should get.
Not everyone is an audiophile though, he seems like someone who just uses them to listens to podcasts or audiobooks, in which case no TWEs would sound "bad" to him. I don't blame him for this at all.
