The development of the first solar powered car was led by prominent industry experts like Robert Hoovers and Chris Clark. These individuals had the distinction of working for AGP Netherlands, FIA- Formula E and PV Flying Car. The duo looked at the Lightyears Solar Project too but the expensive price tags of their products kept them from committing to it. Both of these individuals went their own way to co-found a Dutch startup company which was called Squad Mobility. This startup was focused on developing more affordable, sustainable cars which provided secure mobility too.
