Pickles are healthy, if you’re into them. The best season is salt, pepper, garlic and onion power and you’re good to go. A drizzle of olive oil is good on the veggies. Great video! I love Celebration. It’s a beautiful community.
And if you put a bit of olive oil in a measuring cup with a few table spoons of hummus; it makes a nice dressing for salads or the mixed veggies from the air fryer. Then you can experiment with some dried herbs & spices. My favorites are oregano, red pepper flake, salt and pepper, onion & garlic powder… but I prefer fresh onion and garlic; and a squeeze of lemon or lime, to brighten things up. Enjoying addition of your home & cooking vlogs very much 😊
Adam, really enjoyed your video! I wish the sun was shining here today! Very cold wet and rainy! Love my broccoli cauliflower and carrots soup! Those dips look so yummy. Can't wait till your next vlog. YOU ROCK!!!!
I love local markets!! Great to support local product!! Awesome video!! Stoked for some cooking content!!! Loving the current fun you've been posting!!!🥰🥰💪👍
I so agree.........love the winter here in the high desert of California!!!48 here and rainy...........wish it was cold enough for snow! Im so glad you stayed in Celebration......a lovely city!A little garlic and oil is great!I think i will stick to my steamer or sauted veggies. But thanks for the demonstration!
Got myself a Cusinart air fryer a couple of years ago when my husband was remodeling the house and I was out of a kitchen for a while. I love the air fryer. You can do so much with it. For just the two of us I don't need to use the oven as often. Saves energy too.
Lol 57 Id be having shorts on ,its like 23 in New England. You and the Carpet bagger got me interested in looking for things going on in my state . Thank you both ❤️
Adam, I’m on a low-carb diet the oil I use is avocado oil and olive oil those are good oils so you could steal fry stuff in those not deep fry but you could still fry and you can make french fries in your air fryer. I don’t eat french fries because I’m on a low-carb diet or if I do eat french fries I only eat like 10.
Adam look for Chosen Avocado spray oil. I use that all the time. It has a high burn temp. Also line the air frier pans with foil for easy cleanup. I bought some matching wire racks for mine to keep the air flowing. Takes longer to cook but easier to keep clean. 👊
It’s Walt dude, in the rocking chair! Checking out the closet thing to his original EPCOT project coming to fruition. Taking in all the “cool Sunday morning” vibes of the downtown farmer’s market!
I have that exact air fryer. Target marked them incorrectly at 109.99 , so I bought three and gave two away. WE LOVE THIS THING. I never use the stovetop or oven. I use this air fryer most of the time....and sometimes the microwave. You are going to love this.
My "crack" would have been the Honey Vendor and the Goat Cheese.... I would have gone broke in just those two places... then I would have gone into debt at the Coffee vendor! LOVE IT when you support local vendors....so important to the community. I miss going to the Farmer's Market here where I live in Germany... veggies are so much better and cheaper there.
@@alymshep Oh yeah! Especially on carrots. Roasted sweet potatoes sliced about a quarter inch thick are DELICIOUS roasted too... honey would bring out their flavor... just a drizzle baked on.
Pleasure meeting you yesterday. I too was looking for the veggie people plus Tribal for meat and the pickle guy. My last number of trips, the meat and pickle people haven't been there so not sure if they even attend anymore.
May I suggest putting a large towel in your "trunk". It will keep things from sliding, you might get something you want to wrap due to being fragile, and you might just come across a situation where a towel helps (spill, laying down/kneeling for a cart repair, "cold" Florida weather doubles as a blanket, etc). You won't regret it.
The changes you're making will reap huge benefits. I started by drinking water, no sodas; eliminating fried foods; cutting out unnecessary sugar... Mostly what you're doing. Working out more. I actually started craving vegetables and healthier options. I also eat things I really love and choose my calories wisely. 😁 You're doing great. Small changes that you can maintain are, I think, the best ones you can make.
Roasted veggies are great too, Adam. Just line a cookie sheet with parchment paper... put what ever veggies you want on it... carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, ect... spray it with PAM Olive oil, just a bit...and season to taste... roast at °350 till they are done how you want them... more crispy or more mushy LOL.... easy and healthy... and roasted gives a good flavor for a change of pace.
Oh I bought an air fryer. Now I need to get over my fear. And actually find some yummy recipes! Those veggies looked delicious! This was a fun video. Thank you 😊
I love your support for the DIY vendors at the market. Cooking from scratch at home is very rewarding! Like everyone has said, there's a lot you can do with an air fryer aside from cooking the processed foods.
Hi Adam, it's been my experience using my air fryer, that you want to avoid layering things as much as possible. Always try to do a single layer, as it's an air fryer, so if air can't reach a certain part of the food, such as a piece being between 2 layers, it will not "fry", it will only get hot. And you want as much air flow as possible, so I'd remove the pan next time. I have an olive oil mister/sprayer that I use to lightly coat breaded items, for that "deep" fry crunch. Good luck!
Love air fried veggies! My AF tip is to not crowd the pan. Leave room for the air to move through the pieces of veggies. Toss in a little olive oil before cooking and sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Halfway through cooking time make sure to toss the veggies. You’ll get the hang of it and be an AF pro soon👍🏼
Get a good book for thes air fryer. My husband does the cooking and has made incredible meals with it. The chicken he made recently was moist, tender, crispy coating. Follow directions! Heating up left overs keeps the integrity of the food. Good purchase.
I use my air fryer probably every day! I love cooking chicken in the air fryer. I also love doing Brussels sprouts, broccoli… always with olive oil and a crap ton of garlic. Also, you could use those dip packets as seasoning over your veggies or as a marinade for chicken. I love to use lite Italian dressing (wet of course) as a marinade for chicken. Pop it in a ziploc bag for 8 hours with that chicken and it’ll be fantastic. I also love to use plain Greek yogurt as a substitute for mayo or sour cream, you could do that for those dip packets too… then marinate your chicken in that stuff. YUM!
I forgot what year maybe 2008-2009 the only time I’ve been to celebration,Fl, Hootie and the Blowfish played a free show across the way from the movie theater. Okay, I’ve got confirmation from my father. It was 2007, there was a golf tournament in the area and John Daly came on stage and sang “Hold my hand” with the band.
9:07 😂 I want that sign. All that food looks so good, 😜 Those are electric bikes, with the fat tires. Those are nice ones. I believe those are American company
Those veggies look good! I’m trying to eat healthier also. One of my biggest downfall is I love to snack while watching a show/movie. Try a piece of aluminum underneath to make it easier to keep clean or Bar keepers friend is a great soft cleanser to use and for the oven glass top also!
Adam….daaaahling….all those dry packets of dip you bought are SEASONINGS!!! They don’t have to be added to (extremely high calorie) mayo and/or sour cream. Toss your veggies in some oil and a tablespoon of one of those dips!! Also salt & pepper work good too.
As a Potter and a Market vendor in North Myrtle Beach, I'd love to do the market in Celebration. ❤ But being on the Coast, I definitely get my fair share of shows to work.
Adam. Hey just wanted to say I’ve really been enjoying you recent videos. Been watching for a long time and actually got bored and stopped for awhile. Love the thrifting videos. Would love to see dawn and will if you run into them in Florida
I got the basket I love it, I always spray everything before with a healthy cooking oil spray to give my food some crisp. Cut the time nearly in half from oven to air fryer I love doing roasting chickens in mine!!
Adam, The cooked veggies looked delicious, just needed a sprinkle of natures seasoning on em for my liking. I had some air fried hot wings the other day...mmmmmm they were really good. You should throw in an occasional "Cooking with Adam" segment.
Just an fyi, if you're using the basket to air fry something you'll want to take that flat pan completely out of the air fryer. The drip pan is below the bottom coil. That flat pan it comes with is also for air frying things, but it will block things in the basket from being cooked properly if you leave it in there.
I would try giving the veggies a quick mix of a little olive oil and some spices! It helps them crisp and keep them from burning!! 7-9 minutes works good!! Good luck air frying is addicting!!
Adam use the cook mode knob very easily. We have had 2 of these exact models and the selector knob breaks and cant be fixed. Its a great air fryer but you have to select 50° less than instructed cook temp in airfryer mode or foid will burn very fast
Spaghetti squash is fantastic! We make it in the microwave. Cut one in half. Take the seeds out. Put a little bit of butter in it and microwave it for 10 to 12 minutes and then remove the inside of the squash. It looks like spaghetti. You can eat it with spaghetti sauce or it is good with just that little bit of butter
My hubby weened himself off of soda by switching to “Death Wish” waters. Also I guess it looks like you’re drinking a beer 😂. In my opinion you are making positive changes. 👍
i just bought on Amazon a water pitcher fruit fuser .for 15 dollars . you cut up a piece of fruit an put in this rod in the pitcher an fill the pitcher up with water an it is amazing . you actually taste the fruit in the water ..i love baby spinach in my eggs almost everyday
Oh my, that broccoli looks like it was trying to tango with fire! You'll catch on. Keep in mind, cooking almost always requires some type of oil or fat. Helps the food cook evenly, keeps it from burning or sticking and hold more moisture. Please, read the instructions thoroughly if you haven't already and maybe ask a friend who has a similar style of appliance to come over and cook with you. We all want you to have awesome, delicious and safe experiences with cooking. :)
Really excited about the idea of testing healthy options in the park 😊 I turn 50 3 months after you. You are motivating me to get my act together, Adam! So incredibly happy for everything happening for you. The house, being close to your parents…so, so incredibly happy for you!!!
Salt pepper garlic powder is my go to. All the other seasonings you buy have 90% salt and charge you too much. Make your own blend and buy a shaker so its all in one. . Life lessons learned.
Trader Joe's has some nice seasonings if you're just starting to cook. Real sea salt is good to use but you'll have to get that at another grocery store like Whole Foods or maybe Publix
I got an air fryer as well for xmas. I got the Vortex Plus. Love this thing. You should try out some chicken tenders or making some nachos in your air fryer when you get a chance. Enjoy dude!
Heart healthy market online has some fabulous seasonings and snacks you can order and have shipped to your home Adam.. yay healthy dieters rejoice at this news .. looks yummy all around today.. thank u for showing these healthy snacks... you got this 😊
Those veggies all look steamed not fried but yeah you need to get you some toasted sesame seed oil. It’s good on all of those vegetables good seasoning to use you don’t cook with it you just use it afterwards.
Good for you supporting local business. We love the markets here in Iowa and getting everything so fresh and homemade makes the prices totally worth it
Got a good healthy recipe for those green beans steam them whole just till there’s still a little bit crisp and then put toasted sesame oil on them and salt. That’s it they’re delicious.
I love all the fresh food items for sale. I have a huge jar of raw honey from my familys farm in the dade city area. That bad boy will last me for a decade.
Get you some spray olive oil and spray your veggies a bit and sprinkle them with salt, pepper and/or whatever seasoning you prefer before frying them. Spraying fries and other potato items with some vegetable oil help make them tastier and crispier also
Adam, Always catch my interest……All the healthy food you purchased…….I wouldn’t , don’t eat 3/4 of those veggies……good for you……Enjoyed the Celebration open market. Nice that you do support the vendors, ❤️🙏🏽🌴🐿️
Adam wouldn’t those who take the golf cart parking places be towed away? Should be as its not a car’s parking place I watched ppl use air fryer. They spray dishes bottom with oil then when food goes in basket food is sprayed with oil
