Just to correct an error....figures etc are from Dragon, Tamiya and Masterbox......not Miniart You can follow me on Facebook - / cwmodelling. . or Instagram - / cwmodelling
I have revisited this build several times now and ever time I see this dio I love it even more. So many elements are so pleasing, the Pz IV, the hotel, the figures but my eye is always draw to the curved wall, it really sets this apart. Absolutely Exquisite!!
That will be an absolute show stopper if you ever decide to bring it to a show man! Really love it and i´m thankful for the detailed info you gave on the project here. Now sit down and do the cart and the horse too :)
Amazing build... the poses of the figures really complement each other. The paint schemes for the tank and figures are spot on. Above all the hotel and street scene are truly superlative. Lots of work there and a guide to creating an awesome base.
Wow, really good attention to detail of things as small as gutters and electrical boxes, as well as th weeds in the sidewalk. Best city diorama I’ve seen made of these materials especially. Fantastic.
I love watching your videos I am in awe of your model building from scratch and the planning you put into them to make the diorama to become a Dio drama...excellent work and please keep posting your vids as I for one watch them for inspiration.
This is very ,very nice and i don't make many comments but this deserves it and is a great piece of art from a extremely talented person who should be very proud .
Awesome job. I like the painting job, dioramas idea, scratch job, .... all. It remember me my last diorama process. I know how much work there is in. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your techniques and dies. Cheers
Absolutely brilliant! Great 'how to' on the base and the hotel, thanks - there's some things I'll be trying out for sure. All the figures have a sense of movement and purpose about them - it looks natural and makes sense. I shall look out for the reveal. Cheers.
@@CWModelling no, either grey or black... I did a short research and found out that they used for one unit Italian camo after 1943 but really really seldom... The primary unit started in Poland, then went to France , fought in Africa Italy and ended up after being moved to the eastern Front in East Germany 1945... 1944 it was renamed Fallschirm-Panzer-Division 1. „Hermann Göring".... Of course the Diorama with camo uniforms looks prettier than odd grey or black 👍🏻 looking forward seeing the final piece of art and positively envious that my abilities are not as developed as yours 🙏
Thanks.......The dio is based on the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend, formed in 1943, they first saw action in Normandy after D-Day and after being pushed back from the beaches, the remnants of the division made their way towards Falaise, from where the survivors eventually managed to escape during August of 1944. The unit was reinforced once it was back in Germany and then took part in the Ardennes offensive..............I won't spend all day trying to convince you, but if you look in to it further then you'll find numerous examples of camo patterns such as Peadot, Splinter, Oak leaf etc all being used for tank crew uniforms, particularly with SS units 👍..............BTW, there's a separate 'completed' video for the diorama on my channel 👍
Was looking for some idea's for a diorama having so far painted 1 Tamiya 1/35 Abraham's battle tank given to me as a gift and now want to do more !!!!! This has set the bar HIGH !!! It's as a result of watching that I now appreciate the time and frankly meticulous detail that goes into a work like this to produce such stunning results. It's art in terms of the skill to create the realism and its' art in terms of "a moment" captured telling a story. Fabulous. LOVED it and have subscribed and will be watching previous videos and really looking forward to the finished item. Many thanks for taking the time to share.
Bonjour quel travail . ça c'est de la perfection Je suis Normand merci pour ce clin d’œil sur ma région . Je pose un pouce car franchement c'est un travail de qualité
More incredible work....😮 This would be an excellent job on a shop bought kit, let alone everything scratch built!! Great video & tutorials, looks superb, well done 🙂👍
A hell of a lot of work, Ian! Your attention to detail is amazing and love the painting/weathering. Nice to see this on FB but the video really gives a good feel for all the work involved. Looking forward to the final reveal!
I watched two of your videos awhile back and subscribed. Your attention to detail is astoundingly incredible, Such great work! yours is Probably my favorite Modelling channel that I subscribe to.
Beautiful diorama and work! Can I ask what kind of foam you’re using for the building? Absolutely beautiful work mate! I’ve just subscribed, want to watch more. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching 👍......the foam is an XPS insulation foam, 15mm thick, that I found in a building site skip, so I don't know the manufacturer but XPS is like Styrofoam or high density insulation board 👍
Cheers 👍 ......... I'm starting a new diorama project in a week or so and I will be filming the process and uploading multi part videos......the new diorama will feature another building and also a more elaborate tree, both of which will be scratch built, so hopefully these videos will show you in more detail how I go about things 👍
Incredible work, congratulations. Could you please give us the measurements of the foam walls, (thick, height, wide) the height of the doors, windows,... Thank you very much
Sorry but this dio doesn't exist anymore so I can't measure it 😔 ........I know the foam is 10mm thick and I'd guess the building at the eaves was about 250mm but sorry I can't help with the rest
There are plenty of 1/48 scale figures available but I guess it depends on what you are after......just google it.......1/35 will be too large for 1/48 scenery👍
Tamiya Buff sprayed over white Vallejo primer then individual stones picked out in Vallejo Model Color - German Camo Black/Brown, German Camo Biege, Stone Grey, Desert Yellow and then it was all dry brushed with White 👍
