I have never known about the existence of a rice omelet. It is very different and brilliant combination. I will have to make it, but maybe with very mild curry rice.
A wonderful family run restaurant serving very well made delicious food! I wish we had such family run restaurants in the USA! I would eat there frequently to try the full menu!😛
In the south Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and probably Alabama and Tennessee they are called home cooking or soul food dinners. They are in the small towns with small populations. You will find old men having coffee there in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoon. You walk in as a stranger get stared at but welcomed. The food could be excellent or it could be the worst you have ever eaten but they are there.

That lady is so endearing! When she understand she nods and then giggles. She giggles all the time! I find it cute and endearing. I wish i could tell her to keep it up! She is so good! One thing this restaurant owners can keep the cost down is using no "one-time use" plastic plates, bowls, and utensils. The owners are likely the dishwashers while they are the chefs. This kind of local restaurants are getting less. The owners got big hearts giving customers extra serving free if they ask for it.
Most peoples I know they all think eating in Japan is very expensive , but I told them no , very affordable most workers buying take away food or eat at common restaurants much cheaper than most European countries, USA and Australia .
I love this man and how he talks about his parents. They are probably gone from this world but he is keeping their dream alive and they live on through their son and the business is in good hands. His parents must be proud.
