Konjac noodles more commonly known as Shirataki noodles, are not a choking hazard as they have the same thickness as spaghetti. they were most likely "banned" because they are a surefire way to get an eating disorder (almost no cals super filling)
If you want to know what happened, the girl always thought of the dad as her coach after her mom died when she was young, and they ended up doing the surgery because the dad realized that that was her doughter and he didn’t want to lose another one of his family members. Hope this helps!

Former long distance ruiner here! Same for us. So many of the prodigies were getting stress fractures because of overtraining and reduced bone density. It's not as bad as gymnastics but I think the fact that most high-school champions can't continue competing in college speaks volumes.
They don’t even care about their prodigies. I was a “prodigy,” but they let me get molested in the showers enough as a middle schooler that I just outright quit and refused to even do PE in high school, let alone a SPORT
Controversial opinion. I know it's just a show, but I feel. The parents should be responsible for permanently damaging the upbringing of that child that special diet. All the constant exercise means that little girl is gonna grow up into an old woman before she's even 30. It's it's pathetic, it's sad and it's all to please. The ambitions of the parent has nothing to do with the ambitions of the child usually. Sometimes the child is equally ambitious towards the event. As the parent but let's face it, this is child abuse.
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 17. I was a distance runner, but I pretty much always ate whatever I wanted. Decided to swim instead of run in college and it went away
@@juppeli1234 I also took vitamin D and calcium supplements, but the stress of a high impact sport on my bones made it worse. Not sure why my comment was so funny to you weirdo.
Sports was a big part of my childhood, and I myself would have sacrificed a lot to get better. But if I become a parent, I will never EVER let my kids pick sports over their own life, it’s not worth it.

Before anyone puts the blame on the dad/coach, it was the girl that made the decision to continue, hes just going by off of what she said. 50% of the blame is enough.
