A 1998 Digital camera in 2022: Olympus D340-R

Thanks to our pal @UlyssesGrantParm I was able to finally use my old Olympus digital camera! Check out his channel and video on a more advanced version of the one I've used here haha.
One megapixel may not be enough for today's market, but it could still have a home in some gear bags out there.
This is a great old camera and I had fun stepping back in time for this video.
PS. These images are all straight from the cameras floppy disk lol.

Hot dog! Thanks for the very cool video and for the shout out. Your stitching idea is genius-with the huge depth of field on these bad boys I bet it could make some very convincing X-Pan-style pano images! Time to try it on my goofy 1.3 MP D-100…

1:19 Wdym? To replay an image, all you’ve gotta do is close the camera (back) and press the green button (front). Then you can look through all of them.

Sorry for the late reply! Seems like an ongoing issue with this old camera. Might sound dumb, but what kind of batteries did ya try (were they alkaline, copper, lithium niMH)?

i just thrifted this & got a memory card for it. but the screen doesn’t work. it flashes for a second and then doesn’t work at all. when i slide the front the lense just twitches and makes a noise like it’s trying to focus. any help?

I found this camera in my parents house and started taking pics with it. But now I don’t know how to get the photos off of it. I don’t have the cable for it and have had no luck finding a card reader for this specific type of memory card lol. How did you upload yours?

These old olympus digicams use a very specific memory card (xD I believe) so I just shoot them in jpeg and use an xD card converter to transfer the files to my computer!
