The smoothness of how that guy picked him up was something special. I thought I was watching a local softball game for a second with how natural it looked. “Shoot! The kid’s in the way again!” *Yoink*
@@JK-gm6kk that's true, thank you for reminding me of that. This wasn't the only instance of very young batboys though right? I remember the video mentioning at least one other case, and I'm guessing there were others as well. Can't watch it right now though. Thanks again for the comment though, added context
@@BottomOfTheLineuphes in double a last time I checked, he was on the spring training roster I just saw he got promoted to triple A at the beginning of this season
JT Snow became an instant heartthrob for young women watching the game. I was bartending at the time and every woman in the bar that night screamed when Darren Baker was running to the plate but the screams turned to “Aaaawwws” on the replays. JT could have asked any woman out the next week regardless of the Giants losing, and all women would have said yes. Best play he made in his life.
How bout who is the oldest father you know in baseball. Jesus he was about 70 at the time. Dusty is actually a weirdo, contrary to what the media wants you to think
AD is a highly underrated show imo, and way way better than family guy, and imo, it's still running really strong, even though fox dropped it for some strange, god only knows reason that makes no sense, and other than bobs burgers, nothing has come close to the Simpsons & FG...but unlike AD, both are infamous at this point (and have been for A LONG time now) as being *super* stale... Fourth show on Sundays should still be obvious imo. But I guess it's also a badge of honor at this point if those idiots at the "Box" network cancel you while you're still rolling with potential...
@@BoboMcBooboyAD him stealing the high 5 from klause lmfao AD funny FG sucks ass n Simpsons suck for long time south park can't watch more than once best show doomsland n solar opposites creator of Rick n morty
Why do you say that the lineup and bullpen were nutty when not a single HOFer was on that roster? No one outside of core MLB fans even know about these guys...
Giants Barry bonds was cheating, so who cares about us not having any big names?! We played as a team, not having any big names has nothing to do with nothing! We played spectaculary! And none of our guys were doing steroids or had their kids on the field or cheated in any way!😊😊
That guys reflexes are 10/10 😂 my parents told me a story about how I rolled myself off a bed that had hardwood floor under it, and my dad somehow dove over the bed and caught me before I hit the ground.
I had a friend who was born 22 years after his brother and a sister who is 26 and years his senior. His parents were 65 when he was 14. The way he describes things and how things functioned were they were more like grandparents. His sister was like an aunt but his brother was quite present and became like a secondary father figure but primarily a brother. Being raised by super lax grandparents allowed him to go into a wild drug addicted child by 13 so there's that too
Considering he wasnt the only little kid that was a bat boy (the other kid telling him he was gonna get the bat for exanple), I disagree. Until this, it wasn't an issue
Oh lordy lawd! How can we prevent such a tragedy from happening again?!? The way no one was injured, absolutely nothing happened, etc... The humanity!!!
On contraire, I doubt he has any recollection of this, and has to be told about it. He was only 3 years old; it's typical to not have any memories from geing that young
I don't know much about jt snow but i got definite respect for his consideration for the boy's safety and his supervquick reflexes, thought process, etc. 😁😎
A few years later, this kid led an awesome 7th inning stretch at Wrigley, complete with " Let's get some runs!" Hope he keeps stroking for the Show. And shout out to Dusty, what a life in baseball ⚾️
That guy crossing the plate has kids. All men get super human reflexes the moment their children are born. I remember the constant stress of having toddlers.
I was at that game seated down the first base line. I could the whole thing unfolding. I thought for sure it was not going to end well but JT saved the day. Gold glove!
That was a professional baseball score at home plate! Only a pro could score and safely and daringly give that 3 year old the ride of his life across home plate. He made sure that young man scored his self a run in the World Series too! Tears to my eyes.
I remember watching that live cause my Angels were the ones that defeated the most powerful team at the time. I was 17 at the time and almost had a heart attack at that age lol.
Pete Rose would have lowered his shoulder and sent the little dude flying 😂 Naturally, he would never do that. It’s just my gallows humor. I just remember being so relieved at the time that the little guy didn’t get hurt. Having him handle half the bat boy duties due to his Father’s illness was quite a touching moment. So glad that Dusty beat the Cancer, and that the little guy wasn’t harmed.
I remember that game! JT Snow was right on time and made one of the best plays ever by a runner in MLB HISTORY by snagging Darren as he crossed the plate! It was hilarious! The MLB didn’t think so…
Nah. Children that young don't belong in the dugout. They don't have the judgement needed. The incident is the perfect example. Let it be 14 years old. They can understand the rules
I was angry at dusty baker. Who brings such a young child on the field especially during the World Series. He could have been hurt or got in the way of a play. Luckily he didn't, but that was selfish of baker I get that nothing tragic happened and that he wanted to spend time with his son, but little children don't belong EVERYWHERE just because you want them there. They don't have judgement like adults do. Or even older kids
