Very enjoyable production. The vlog style is very captivating and so much better than watching someone sit in a tree over a food plot. Well done man! Keep em coming…
I always enjoy your videos and short films like this. Watching these makes me wish I never would have stopped hunting for as long as I did. I got back out there and quickly realized how badly I had missed it. You either love the mountains of PA or you hate them and if you love hunting them it becomes part of who you are. I always had something inside that just pushed me to want to know more and go farther. This time armed with more patience and a Pennsylvania that has more good bucks than ever I have dedicated myself to finding good bucks every year and hunting them. I've lost 70lbs, pushed myself to get in better shape, started building an inventory of cameras, and building my knowledge through the likes of guys like you, Johnny Stewart, Nathan Killen etc and by mapping and scouting as much as possible. It's my goal to have a chance at a mature buck every year here in the mountains I hunt in PA. I don't know if that is realistic or not but I'm pushing for it. Thanks for all of the information you have on RU-vid and your website and I hope this year ends for you with a beast on the meat pole.
Pa is my home state and my hunting state the mountains and hills are tough to hunt. But I love it can’t wait for this season to start 2024 . Good luck this year
I sure do enjoy watching your ridge top hunts and seeing all the planning you put in your hunts. Watching this after being released from I.C.U. for my third heart attack. I know I can't ever walk my favorite ridges again but I feel like I'm there with you. Looking forward to the Alberta video.
Great video dude. I have a camp between Ronovo and lockhaven. Your videos show real hunting. Sitting and waiting. Even seeing a squirrel gets me fired up on the slow days. Keep it up man thanks for making these!
I'm in 4d Union County but surrounded by mountains on 3 sides of me , however , not the greatest hunting right here , been hit so hard by Amish every year , van load deer drives and they kill about anything brown , no management at all. I've killed a few nice ones but nothing bigger then 120 class , if I see 5 buck a whole Archery and rifle combined , I'm lucky
The very end of this video hit different. I've been after the same buck for 3 seasons now .. I shot a different buck Oct. 2nd this season. It was a beautiful 13 point with splits and a sweet rack. Not something you see here often in PA. I think about the buck all the time I'm often just going through trail cam pics and videos and thinking about encounters. I know soon he will be gone, either to a hunter or some other demise .. there's just something about the chase that keeps ya going. Congrats on a beautiful buck, and good luck this season.
Thank you! Ya it does hit different. We get so involved in these deer as if we actually know them. I can't tell you the amount of hours I've spent scouring maps, trail cam pics, and boots on the ground looking for that 10. When I found out he was killed, it stung! At the same time, I was very happy for the other hunter and gave me a reason to move on. It's all about perspective I guess! Congrats on your buck at the beginning of the season that's awesome!
@BeauMartonik I posted a video of my hunt if you wouldn't mind checking it out. It's not very long, or very good.. I'm working on my self filming skills 😂 you're absolutely right, it feels like we know these deer when you've been watching and following them year after year. Watching them grow and mature into awesome animals. It's kinda like you can tell their stories. Also makes ya think about how many hunters and predators he's avoided through the years and some of the stuff they've seen.
Thank you very much! I don't actually hunt for a living per say, and actually spent more time in the PA woods before I did this full time haha! But I am extremely thankful to work in the hunting industry that allows me to choose the days I do hunt. Good luck this year!
Much respect to getting it done in the mountains. I took trips to the North Ga mountains for 4 years before arrowing my first black bear and the terrain is no joke. I have been wanting to do a deer rut hunt up there for some time. Deer densities are low but some impressive bucks have come out of those mountains. Great story and great video!
@@BeauMartonikyou are welcome 🙏. Excellent video and hunt story. Congratulations again on a really nice Mountain ⛰️ Buck 🦌. What a big 8 point tank of a buck even though you didn’t get a chance at the 10.
With that big ten, goes to show that even in the big woods, the guy just over the hill is the one to take him lol. Great story, great buck, always more bucks to chase!
Dude I feel ya about mountain hunting. All day sits with nothing more times than I can count then days where you need flagger force to slow the traffic. Nice buck👍
Im from sw Pennsylvania. Johnstown area. Buddy shot a 169 a few years ago. And the sheds from the previous year were alteast 15 inches bigger. The antler restriction did so much for pa. Cambia county got some monsters
U my man have a great life. Wish i could hunt like u. Messed my back up and can hunt the way i want to. Cant walk much , so i hunt close to home. Great video and keepem coming.
Great buck and video Beau!! I really enjoyed watching this vlog style video, just seemed to be more personal and relatable compared to the higher quality films that you've put out. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the films too but this one just hits different. I know how much work goes into self-filming and editing. Thanks for sharing and keep up all the good work, I enjoy the content!
I was a little confused when you said you were trying to range a big buck at 15 yards ,i would have just used my 20 yard pin and shot but way to get it done in the end in the big woods!
Where you shot the 8 point that looks like the ANF. I found 3 beautiful sheds all from studs running them ridges above the clarion. I’ve heard about you for some years but just found your channel. I rock with you I live in Bunola pa but I try to get up Ridgway as much as possible.
Hey man! I really appreciate you checking out the video, but I am not familiar with the area you are talking about. But, I will say it's probably not a good idea to publicly name drop spots/areas either way, unless you want some company. Haha!
I pre-range everything when I get in the tree. I didn't have time to range them when they come in (rarely do). I just held my plain old 25 pin low. Same concept. Good luck this season!
Thank you! This was a Cobra harvester. I recently switched back to a trigger style release for deer hunting. Had too many misfires with my thumb release on my bino harness or clothes trying to let down...
Any chance someone else smoked a big buck in that same area and caught it on video in the last few years? I don’t know who it was but that spot looks so familiar. The young man put two arrows in a big buck if I recall
In the area of the big 10 or the 8 I shot? The area of the big 10 I shot a 9 pt in which I have a video on my channel last year that took 2 arrows. Other than that, I don't know of anyone else shooting a big one in any of the areas I had on video.
Check out BnB outdoors giant pa buck with a bow. Don’t ask me why, but certain stuff gets stuck in my mind. Scenery looks very close. Great buck and great content, I enjoy your videos a lot. Keep up the good work !
So sick of people saying there is no big buck in Pennsylvania. I've seen some pretty hefty ones my 41 years. They are just so hard to find in the mountains, but they are there ,always have been
