I love how multicultural this school is. I’m going to have to work my butt off to go here for grad man. I already like having good grades but man I’m going to have to go ape these upcoming semesters.
Although many in the United States associate the swastika with Nazism, the symbol has a much older religious history than that, and has significance in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. I am certain that its inclusion on the library facade has nothing to do with Nazism. The Wikipedia article on the swastika is an interesting read: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika As for the eagle, I'm not sure where it derives from, but again I highly doubt that it has anything to do with Nazism. Given the other cultural symbols in the clip, my guess is that it dates back to some ancient culture.
I do not work at or study at Yale, but I am quite sure they have generous financial aid packages to students who are not able to cover the cost of tuition.
