New market for synchronous condensers.

This seems inaccurate. The wind turbines don't provide inertia as the AC power they produce is converted to DC first, and then run through an inverter back to AC at the correct frequency. The inverter however can operate with the fast-frequency response as mentioned, as well as injecting reactive power into the system if required.

What it means is that it ain’t that simple to maintain the grid
