it actually is a common build in dnd normally going 3 lvls into druid then 3 into barbarian and then full into druid again as it gives insanly good stats early and peeks around lvl 8 with 3 barbarian and 5 druid. Druid acales way better than barbarian in dnd (lack of magic items)
@@aaronforsythe8556 I basicly just meant that BG3 gives u alot of magic items. An amount a DnD DM (no matter if 3rd edition or 5e) will never ever give you. Esspeiclaly not that strong ones that early. Also in 5e you can attune a maximum of 3 magic items while in BG3 you can have up to theoratically 8 or even 10 I think (2 light weight weapons). As a druid you can almost not use any of them in BG3 though while in dnd you can which is why going fighter classes is actually good in BG3
I would start off druid and rush to bear, then mix up which levels you take when so that you get the feeling of playing the full Barbearian the entire time rather than just playing as one or the other for the first few levels.
@@grindgod847ignore those haters, sometimes it's better for the particular building. It also depends on the classes being multiclassed. Lvls 1 for casters is already a good trade out point. Lvl 2 for clerics, druids and warlocks is also common. Lvl 3 for usually every class. 4 just for the feat then dip back. And after 5 for MARTIALS Specifically because everyone cries for extra attack coming online late equals bad build. After lvl 6 for paladins only if you invested in charisma for the strongest aura buff in Dnd lol. Let this be a better guideline at least.
Yeah, does more damage out of bear form. During play testing we used bear form for fun and as a panic button for more health. Was fun drinking an Elixir of the Colossus, then using enlarge, then transforming into an owlbear. Just a vibe.
Cool plan, but if your intention is to go bear form with barbarian rage, make sure you respec out of that stat line as soon as you pick up bear form. Shapeshifts replace str/dex/con completely anyway, so respecing for higher wis/int/cha will serve you better in most fights. Just also make sure you either keep barb as the first level, or pick up warcaster so you have Con proficiency, and you'll be an incredibly tanky (owl)bear.
@@raidengames9930str and dex at the lowest needed for multiclass, make cons and wis the highest you can, do whatever you want with int and char since they dont matter to this build
Duergar get some good stuff. Poison resistance from dwarf. Frighten/Paralyze resistance. Superior Dark Vision. Enlarge/Invisibility spells. Solid racial choice.
@dooku2489 For sure. No need on a Warlock. I assume that character is the face of your party because Charisma. Can always use enlarge before a conversation so you can reach eye level with everyone. 😅
@@grindgod847 not face of the party at all actually, i use him in multiplayer with my friends who play dark urge and i roleplay as a servant of a great old one eldritch god of knowledge who bids me to observe but not interfere with the dark urge, so i am actually entirely complacent in any evil he may or may not get up to. it is a fun way to play as an emotionally disconnected experimenter of sorts. i have already used him on several runs with friends and it never gets old, warlock is so fun and he looks so evil and badass.
Honestly I prefer have only 3 in barbarian just for the rage and resistance cause of scaling. The more you put in Druid the more health your shapeshift could have making you even tackier and you’ll still get extra attack in druid. Plus once you get the owl bear you can get your rage back every time since it gives 4 rage and overlaps with your rage and you get it back if you spent the ones you got which you only get every long rest. Maybe I’ll put more in barb and see but this build is already pretty damn tough in fights.
Then at 10 Druid gets additional attack while shapeshifted... As fun as the build it is probably better to go 10 Druid with remaining levels put in Fighter/Barbarian/Wizard/Cleric.
This build feels extremely slow, you take two turns and two bonus actions just to set up. Do yourself a favor and take 3 levels of thief rouge for the extra bonus action, so you can rage and wild shape on turn 1, you can also use your owl bear leap twice each round and the only significant thing you lose is extra attack which doesn't stack with druids wild strike anyway, you can also dump strength and pump wisdom, so you can cast spells when you need to, and you won't need the strength since you're not hitting anything in human form anyway. I do recommend starting as a Druid if you do this, since 3 barbarian 3 rouge by itself is ass.
I just checked and yes, barbarian "extra attack" stacks with wildshape "savage strike" This way you can attack thrice in a turn while transformed, or 2 while in normal form, even without being a lv10 druid. +3m movement speed
I would recommend putting less levels into barbarian. All you really need is 3 levels in barbarian for the damage resistance (4 for a feat). That way you get owlbear a lot earlier. Also owlbear rage stacks with barbarian, so having access to owlbear earlier will help the prep turns of wildshaping and enlarge.
NO WAY!?! a few months ago I tried making a circle of the moon barBEARian, and the rage immediately ended when I went into wild shape. Hopefully that's changed, WHOOHOOOOOO
I don’t know if extra attack from Barb applies to wild shape. Aspect of the bear at 6 Barb is meh. You already have adv on strength while raging and increased carrying capacity isn’t worth it. I’d go 4 levels barbarian for the feat and 8 levels in druid. You’ll improve your wildshape and spell casting. Potentially letting you cast some summon spells but if not those extra spell slots can be used to heal the wild shapes
Extra attack from barbarian applies to wild shape, so a lv5 barb / lv5 druid can attack three time while transformed (same as if you were a lv10 druid), or 2 while not transformed. +3m movement By going lv5 wildheart and lv7 mooncircle druid, you'll have access to minor elemental summons, fire wall, or the "movement freedom" spell, which doesn't require focus/concentration and applies as a buff until the next long rest, useful to move without issues (+ you can cast "quick step" to boost movement until the next long rest)
Im playing a run right now with a pure moon druid and a berserker barbarian on tactician and its the most fun build ever, you just jump in and rage and murder everything with an owl bear and then your barbarian throws everyone its super fun
You can make a pretty accurate V from Cyberpunk 2077 too. Go for a Human Soldier with Fighter as your starting class. Level up once for Action Surge and then multiclass to Wizard. Level up either of them until they both reach level 5. Take Warlock at level 11 and 12. This gives you a strong Netrunner build that works well with Witch Bolts and its upgrades as your Short Circuit quickhacks and Magic Missle as your Smart Weapons. At level 5 Wizard, take Fireball as your Projectile Launch System and Counterspell as your Self-ICE. Alternatively, take 3 Fighter levels and then 9 Wizard levels to grab Cloudkill, your Contagion quickhack. However, this loses you out on your melee Extra Attack as well as Warlock's Devil's Sight. I had a similar idea for karlach, but i was gonna do 1 level of barbarian, 5 levels of way of fist monk, and 6 levels of moon druid. I didnt know about the wildheart, tho... When I do my good playthrough, I will have her try it. She left me on this one.
Raging and wild shaping are both bonus actions, doing this is a mess because you require 2 turns to be in full shape, and then after combat you have to get out of wild shape to be able to rage again. Too messy.
Circle of the moon isn't the best glass to multi-class. Your transformations scale with druid levels and you don't get any of the stronger transformations till level 10
You get bear at level 3, the other two don’t get that, the best wild shape they get until level 6 in Druid is the spider or dire wolf, once you reach level 6 though, they all get the owlbear, so at that point why even bother with the circle of the moon unless you specifically want to be able to wild shape as a bonus action
@@theguthboyw I just switched to Circle of the Land because I wanted to have more spell options and found myself only using wild shape outside of combat anyway. Having it as a bonus action is the one thing I miss, since you could wild shape, perform an action (web/fly etc) then dismiss all in one turn since turning human again is free
I wrote a ghost story in a song a few days ago, its about some kings' men slaughtering druids then getting assailed by spirits. Im sure Christians would absolutely hate it! If enough people like this comment I'll post the whole thing, its only 10 stanzas but I need external motivation to actually type it all out lol
No where in the short do we refer to this as a "powerful build". Also, much like d&d, people play this game in different ways. Optimizing for damage is not always a character goal.
@@grindgod847 look you could have made this point in any other build video. But litteraly the only reason this build gets barb to level 6 is because of a ability's name (and that ability's function can be replaced by a spell the druid already has but can no longer use because of rage cancelling consentration)
@zx-dx719 Just ignore what I said? Some people want to be a big raging damage sponge of a bear and that's fine. You might not like it, and that's fine too.

@@FinalParty_I was not even hoping for a reply to be honest, because of how long ago this vid came out! Thank you! Yesterday I’ve finished the levelling and holly crap how amazing this build feels, even without all of the required equipment!!! I don’t remember the names of the stuff I got but, in gith location I got the gloves that powers up dex up to 18, so you can dump it just like con after getting the amulet (I’m gonna get you baby) and also, I got the helm that increases your wild shape charges from 2 to 3 which saves me a lot. For a long time I was not sure is it worth to go multi-class or not and now I absolutely don’t regret it
Btw, how to get as many as possible the Elixirs of Strength, considering the fact, that I am in act 3 now already and what boots can I use (for the same reason, cuz I guess I’ve lost the Kushigo ones)
@@SalixII that's awesome! Glad you're enjoying multiclassing :) You should be able to craft those elixirs though if you have the ingredients. As for boots, it should have been given to you near the start of act 3? Unless it was fed to Gale lol Besides that I enjoyed using the misty step boots in order to get to higher spots to jump down from lol
Sounds really fun. I’m wondering if it may be worth 3 levels into rogue to get two bonus actions with thief so you can rage and wild shape in the same turn
@@grindgod847 I don't think it's physically possible to win a fight with that tbh. You could have a similar silly build with 10 druid and barb for rage and get 3 attacks, instantly increasing the builds damage by 50%
@KeziaKez Build has survivability and its fun. You've got 3 other party members who deal can deal damage while you soak up enemy agro. Not every build is about damage.
@@grindgod847 yeah, but for a fun build to be fun, it still needs to be viable. This just straight up isn't viable with 20 damage per turn. All that means is you're literally using it as a hp shield, which you would get better results using a summon. A druid barb with 3 attacks is now tankier due to being able to heal itself more than the OP build, and also does 30 damage a round as a bear. It can also start the fight by casting a powerful spell before shaping to soak damage. Tbh though if you wanted a fun bear build, I would probably go 2 druid for bear shape, 1 barb for rage tanking, and 9 cleric for lvl 5 spirit guardians. Start of the fight you spirit guardians then go bear and rage next turn and spend the fights tanking damage as a bear and running around burning stuff and healing itself using spell levels. That seems more fun, and does the same job but much much better, as with the no opportunity attack feat you could run and jump around the battlefield hitting everything with spirit guardians and also making sure you're always surrounded tanking damage
