I went to the hand build motorcycle show in Austin several years ago when they Revival Exhibited the Birdcage BMW ! what a gem of a bike! Love to go see Barber Museum some time! Thanks for the information and discussions with all these BMW enthusiasts...That R18 is very appealing ...may just go out and buy one!
Barber Vintage festival is my "do not miss" event each year. I'm glad you showcased a small piece of it and the incredible museum. I'm so excited for the BMW Brand to be building Heritage styled bikes again. Its why I fell in love with the brand (several airheads and one modern GS). Great series to wet my appetite for a new bike when released. Keep supporting small shows like Handbuilt, Momma Tried, One Moto, Garage Brewed and other grass roots community events. Thats how you extend the brand to new people and the next generation. Cheers
the behind the scenes was us begging the museum to stay open way past their closing time for us and then them kicking us out because we couldn't get enough. that place is magical.
If you like the vintage festival at Barber, I recommend you also go to AMA Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio in July. It’s a blast and the vendor area dwarfs the one at Barber. And the camping area is a trip!
I think Tommy captured perfectly the guys at BMW and the others we saw in this video when he said something like - These people are first of all bikers, and they love building bikes for bikers and that comes over with their enthusiasm. Fab museum in Alabama, another great video and a tiny bit more on the R18....more please.......thank you 😎✌🏻
These episodes r addicting. Waiting 4 the next 1. As usual keeping us guessing lol. Was gonna buy a harley but I'm holding off for bmw. I owned a lot of cars but jus love my 5 series. A I have kept in almost perfect shape pushing 11 years. German engineering is something else man. Can't wait for this bike 2 come already. I heard u can pre order this, but doesn't give us a date when it will come out.
I have wasted my life until I visit that Barber Museum. After visiting Motorrad Germany and Nettesheim of course. Then I can pass happily onto the old folk's home for fading BMW riders. Now if I can only get my hands on an R18...
Amazing museum! Full of nostalgia, and history for sure. hopefully the design team listens to the customer, and doesn't stray too far away from the concepts main focal points. Listen to the fans of BMW motorrad. Build a customer influenced bike, and it will sell.
I’ve seen a k1 on the road in paris last week it’s was amazing. Beautiful, ducati monster on the left at 3:12. One the best looking roadster for me. Good series
Man, if I wanted a custom seat, I wouldn’t buy it from stock, I’d let a good friend build it. Anyway, Magnum, thanks for keeping us close. Again and again and...
Yeh, give me one & I will turn it into the touring bike I have always wanted. Be bloody hard to beat my GS though ! Really BMW you need to release these.
The poor camera man was probably 'rubber-necking' while trying to film. His mind was on ALL of the other lovely motorcycles. It must have been an overwhelming distraction to be just filming for us viewers when he only wanted to jump along to see the next motorcycle, and then to the next and the next. I thought that he did a sterling job in difficult circumstances as his efforts are well worth the watching.
