Hello friends, I am Sandeep and you are watching my RU-vid channel Heavenly journeys. Today I bring to you my new video on our mystic journey to the Himalayas of Uttarakhand in June, 2019. Uttarakhand is a blessed state in terms of Himalayan beauty, glacial rivers, forests, culture, climate and beautiful valleys. To experience this beauty and calmness, we went to this tour of Uttarakhand Himalayas in the districts of Rudraprayag and Chamoli. First, we visited Chopta hill station, also called the mini Switzerland of India. Chopta also serves as the base for the commencing of the Tungnath Temple Trek and Chandrashila Peak. Tungnath is the highest Shiv Temple of the world at the height of 12,000 feet above sea level and among the highest of the Panch Kedar. Tungnath is also very near to the temple of Kedarnath. The whole area comes under the Kedarnath Wild Life Sanctuary and protected for Musk deer. Chopta and Tungnath have rich flora and fauna and famous for birds watching activities and spectacular Himalayas view of Kedarnath, Nanda Devi, Trishul and Chaukhamba Peak. Himalayan Black bear and Monal, leopards are to be found in this area. Mandal village is the another attraction in this area to visit. Mandal village which lies at the one corner of the Kedarnath Wild Life Sanctuary, is also called the Cherrapunji of Uttarakhand and famous for its Ansuya Devi trek and Madhyamaheshwar trek. Then we went to Nandprayag and finally Ghat to witness the beauty of the Nandakini valley and the glacial Nandakini river which originates from a glacier near Nanda Ghunti peak of Nanda Devi National Park.
