The best of James Horner's "A Beautiful Mind" Nominated for an Academy Award in 2001 as part of our Oscar Countdown! I do not own any of this material. No copyright intended.
Russel Crowe was robbed of the Oscar. I have not watched the Oscars since and that was 18 years ago. His performance was one of the best I've ever seen. Truly remarkable.
I'm actually very much not a fan of Russell Crowe. I do not prefer his acting style. However, his performance in this movie was extraordinary and I was mesmerized how great he did with it. I always acknowledge this performance of his even if I'm not a fan. His heart, mind, and soul went into this and it was outstanding work. Thoroughly captivating.
He didn't get the Oscar just because they omitted a part of the real story. Yeah, it's apt to say that Oscar doesn't deserve him. He's way ahead of them.
I’m in love with “A beautiful mind” and it’s soundtrack It gives so much inspiration for studying, I feel motivated But at the same time it’s a bit hard for me to watch this film because I have schizophrenia, seeing how John falls into his delusions is painful, I know how it feels
Anybody who thinks mental illness isn't real or that some who have it are unable to function in "normal" society need to see this awesome film! This film is an inspiration to those WHO DO have some form of mental illness but live with it and deal with it while functioning as best they can as any other human being. WE ALL have challenges to live with in this life either mental or physical. Some are more visible than others. RIP John Forbes & Alicia Nash!
Mental illness is just another disability, we need to love and understand those who have it. They are people just like us. They have their scars on the inside. Please think about my man . He suffers depression greatly . But I love him scars and all.
Yes. A neighbor's 40yr. old male child had. Most of the time he was a calm individual. Then 0ne notices that wild birds quit foraging & fly away en masse... i/s animals perform 1950's atomic blast drills of 'Duck & Cover' then you'd hear the screaming. They, the Afflicted soul, lived closer to the street in a one-story house: my dad & I lived in a small upstairs garage apartment @ the rear of the lot but next door. Thank You Poster... & YT.❤Merry Christmas!!!
Absolutely emotionally drags you into what his world must've been like, seeing these 3 people for years and knowing it's not real, but never stops. Not knowing you're mad is one thing, but to know your brain is lying to you is a whole other level of 'wow, deal with that'.
so true for me too... I listen different kind of "dark music" like alternative, ambient, metalcore, progressive metal, dark, even death metal but jesus christ this is just most beautiful dark peace I've ever heard (except classical music). But I should say one should listen whole soundtrack and not this cut.
Poor John. I have schizophrenia and it's painfull too. I wish I was very intelligent than Nash, but I can't. This guy was special and her wife was kindfull and a lovelly person. Greatest movie I ever saw
It’s more of where you are intelligent you have to find john in probably numbers you might be in something else you do have beautiful mind have faith❤️
All your tough Engineering concepts can become easy, the motivation of this movie is such high. Truly inspired by John nash sirs biography. Gladiator, then this movie, Russell Crowe is one of the best actor, not sure how the Oscar jury's missed him for this movie,shame!!!...I think James horner makes musics in heaven. A Beautiful mind is not a movie, it's the library of Motivation and inspiration for all generations.
@@leannessister3691 james horner is my fav composer, but intestellar is the best ost ever made, in my opinion. You should check it out ☺ There's no need to make a competition, people like what they like and that's okay
The greatest human relationship is one that brings together two lovers, a man and a woman, which is crowned with the marital bond, and it results in boys and girls who return the beauty of parents with love, and mercy.
Horner could be such a talent when the right director and film came along. He creates this wonderful sense of swirling magic when Crowe's character Nash is lost in thought and theory. Then later you're taken ahold of by the fear and paranoia that starts to close in on Nash. Such a great score. Such a great composer Horner was with his unique style.
You're spot on. Not enough people realise the quality (good or bad) is usually the fault of the director or producers. A great composer can write a shit score if he has to work with overbearing producers/directors, but can write absolute masterpieces when the director trusts their composer, and let them do their thing.
Love this soundtrack and the movie too❤ I don't understand my math teacher, never, I don't understand math. But once he said this movie is the best movie about math. And I understood and agreed, this movie is so beautiful. 😍
Makes you want to be a math genius 🌹. I have dyscalculia. But I love 💕 this movie 🎥 even I cannot understand math or figure it out. I twist my numbers too 😩but makes you wonder about MATH 🥰
I listened to this soundtrack when I studied calculus my first semester. I got an A in it! Now I only do average because of a chronic disease and depression :( But screw those good grades, as long as I can keep learning, that's all what matters.
@@egor.okhterov One week from handing in my master thesis in neuroscience and neuroimaging! Got top grades in all subjects last year because the lockdown made it easier to study with my disease online. Thanks for asking
this was a very moving film a journey of a man's life that despite all the obstacles in his way managed to show how he wouldn't allow this to stop his full potential
Geoffrey Denis Crawford I believe that illness was not an obstacle, rather it was part of his talent and was partly inspiring his genius. He had to adapt his way of thinking to live with this disease. But from another perspective, it was also an obstacle to overcome
Nine times here. First was in the theater and the rest on Netflix when they mailed the DVDS. I can never get enough of the movie or soundtrack. One of the best-- truly.
This song is lullaby for everyone who is struggling with their mental health. Like my comment if you agree. This soundtrack is like someone is calming my inner child. I have C-PTSD, catatonia schizophrenia, OCD, severe anxiety, depression, i also get panic attacks, memory loss, weak concentration, ADHD, damaged nervous system. There's so much I'm going through and I can't sleep without listening to this song. Especially at 13:29, something starts , I feel so emotional, it's like I'm telling my inner child that it's okay, you have gone through too much, you've lost too much, but it's okay. I feel myself, it's like I'm looking at my soul everytime I listen this masterpiece. There's no other like James horner. ❤️
"I can restore your status at Wheeler, I can tell the World what you did, but I need you now". That scene was so good we believed Parcher was real too!!!
I suffer from paroniod schizophrenia but after I read John Nash words I follow his advice I ignore the feelings and thoughts as bad energy and not real cos my problems can't be seen or heard by anyone else as I've been told so it's all in my head and not real.
I cant imagine what that must be like. All I know is that sometimes psychiatrists can cause more harm than good. And if you have taken wisdom and inspiration from this movie then that is good, with mental health often the people who do us the most good are those who have survived mental illness and or live successfully with it, and go on to be psychiatrists, therapists, an inspiration and beacon of hope to those who have been left unsupported, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed. Always remember you are never alone, though it may feel like that.
James Horner's score is simply signature, unique. On first hearing it, I wondered just what work of music did it belong to and was moved when discovered its source -- from the film A Beautiful Mind.
Wow a beautiful mind and beautiful music. Rip John Nash and his wife together in the spirit world now it's sad and ironic as they always called for a limo after an event but for a change took a taxi that ended there life's.
the words i hear, no one says, the touch i feel, is never there. i love her so much, that i look for her everywhere. yet, they all tell me, its just in my head. then why does it feel so real. why does this warm feeling stream down my face every waking hour thinking about her. why do i remember the way she smells and the sound of her laughter. when will my mind meet my reality.
I was in the pschiatric hospital of Princeton University that is financed by Dr. Nash and his wife, I arrived naked and they provided me with clothes, medicines and psycological help. I am ezquisofrenic like Dr. Nash and his son.
James Horner had a beautiful mind. His music was anything but below extraordinarily Godly. He is without a doubt my favorite composer. I hope to see him in Heaven creating music along with the angelic choir.
I don't care that people say this resembles the Amazing Spider-Man theme and that James Horner lacks originality. A masterpiece is a masterpiece. And this is a masterpiece. No matter what you do with it, it is a masterpiece.
When I was in Canada, I often listened to this while I was reviewing for my school work. This soundtrack reminds me of home while I am exploring the land down under.
Ignorance and prejudice are the greatest enemies to overcome. When anyone is in front of someone different, prejudice and ignorance create an unconscious reaction of self-protection that generates rejection or even aggression. People miss the opportunity to meet exceptional people. Movies like this help to teach and help banish the ignorance and prejudice that I mention. I Have a son with Asperger syndrome and he is awesome but not all people give him the chance to show that he is a great, smart and very good person.
It's as beautiful as the chance meeting of a dessert spoon impregnated with chocolate and a plastic bottle without a protective cap, on the edge of a devastated heath covered with ryegrass following a succession of bad weather caused by a depression coming from northern Europa
Usamos este soundtrack cuando mis chicos interpretaron EL SUENO DE UNA NOCHE DE VERANO en el concurso de teatro del colegio, quedamos segundos según los jueces, pero el publico quedo encantado y nos felicito.
I'm still hear. Im impressed .It is the most strong and power song elaborated and the instruments which I ever heard in this song flying. Many thanks for composition and compositor. It is a self "Beautiful Mind"!
I think the best part of the film is James Horner's music and the scenes at Princeton. He was a brilliant mind. Mathematicians see the beauty of the world.
I don't know why this music come in my life I feel like I can take this music with me when i am pass away from this would . This music is one of my soul
