Thanks Mark for featuring this puzzle and also mentioning my book. As usual, a wonderful solve. This was one of my favourites from the book as well because of the solve path and also the way it was designed.
I appreciate these "easier" puzzles being featured on the channel as it gives me a chance to actually solve something, even if it takes me an hour. Or in this case, 51 minutes.
I tried this puzzle but only got about half way through before realizing I had really messed something up at start. Turns out that I was stupid and forgot that the top right 11 sum could use repeated digits. Great solve Mark, I'm still amazed at how quickly you broke into box 2.
Lovely construction. After the first easy box 8 I stared at it and finally saw the way the clues combined to make the way clear. After that each remband in turn proved crucial.
25:46 A really interesting ruleset. I'll definitely be heading to get the pdf and (assuming this is a representative sample) I suspect 9 previous ones.
One of Simon's earliest videos is about sujiko/suko puzzles; pure gold to watch as the last 15 minutes of the video is just a black screen. Anyways, that is where I first saw these quad clues before. Enjoyable constraint not used often enough.
19:44, a couple of rules I'm bad with, but how the high/low circle clues affected each other in boxes 2 and 8 gave me a start and I was able to slowly work my way to the end.
26:42 for me. Had a little bit of a slow middle, but it I was still able to work through it little by little. I didn't get stuck anywhere though. Overall a nice puzzle.
Excellent puzzle and video. @14:17 an *X-wing* on *9s* was available in *rows 3* and *4,* powerfully acting on *columns 1-9.* You can find it easily by carefully pencilmarking the empty cells in *rows 4* and *5.*
