This brought back a memory that during my divorce (after 20 years of marriage), I suddenly CRAVED colors. My best friend and I painted my tiny bathroom ceiling and the inside of my vanity a bright teal. Every time I opened that under-sink cabinet I felt JOY!! It would not be a color choice I would make today, but at the time it was exactly right.❤

Paige this was a perfect video: mainly focused on decor and building a beautiful bedroom, but with sprinkles of chaos, playfulness, friendship, etc.. I always enjoy watching your videos but this one in particular was an absolute pleasure. Good work!

This is déjà vu. Once upon a time my ex husband and i booked a boutique hotel room in Paris. The ceilings were lacquered red! The lighting reflected on the ceiling had a mirrored effect. Very entertaining. I like the red you all choose.

My house was built in the 20s and has that gap where the ceiling meets the wall too! I was told that it was originally intended to hang pictures from (like with a hook in the gap and wire hanging down to the desired height of the art) because the original plaster walls weren’t strong enough to hold the weight of framed art on a nail. I may be explaining that horribly 😂 but that’s basically what was told to me when I asked my landlord upon viewing if I should be concerned about the fact that the ceiling seemed to be separating from my walls in the bedroom. I’ve been here since 2013 and the gap hasn’t gotten any worse so I’m assuming she was telling me the truth lol

I’m about 3 quarters into the video, and the colors are fantastic! Who would have thunk it? Well, I guess it was a well, thought out, collaboration effort and it paid off. Been watching your videos for a while and I’m really liking them. I’m on a really, really tight budget, but I’ve been able to make my condo into a pretty kickass place! It’s still a work in progress, but aren’t we all works in progress? I totally get the growth thing that Kate mentioned. So true. When you take pride in your place and it reflects you and your personality, your confidence goes up. You don’t mind company. You take pleasure in people commenting and complimenting your decor and style. I’m a 52 year old man and I live alone. I’ve never been married because it’s a prison I don’t want to be sentenced to! I love freedom. No offense for those who are married, just saying. I love my space. I’m grateful for it. Anyways, I live in the farthest east corner of LA. It’s cool watching those, who have an eye for design and who live locally. I haven’t subscribed yet, but I am today. Cheers!

When I was a wreck, I painted my bedroom Tangerine Dream by BenMo. It was CRAZY. Not only that, I also made an ombre yellow to orange ‘sunset on mountain tops’ sort of of deal on the ceiling. I highly do not recommend 😂

I think the gap between the ceiling and the wall is bc at the top of the wall is picture frame molding to hang art from wires and hooks rather than damaging the wall. it's a cool look, imo, and easier to change up a space bc there's no nailing that needs to happen.
