There is often a lot of "down time" on movie sets. This bit of down time offered me the opportunity to talk to Rami Malek about his blossoming career and what it's like when Tom Hanks calls you to be in a movie.
Hanks was so impressed with Rami that they gave him more lines in the Pacific than originally scripted. It was nice how they developed the friendship between Snafu and Sledge.
Thank you to Tom Hanks for helping Rami move out of the shadows and onto the stage. Rami has matured so much since this video. He has weathered strenuous roles and dealt with fame and all the highs and lows that come with it with such grace and dignity. He really carries himself like an old style Hollywood leading man. So proud of him.
wow look at this kid now just played in a huge series called Mr. Robot and a big hit movie called Bohemian Rhapsody look how far he has come now that is real effort
Both Elliot Alderson (Mr Robot) and Freddie Mercury kinda changed Rami's mannerisms (the way he talks, his gestures,....) It's kinda weird watching old interviews like this one cause you really see and hear the difference.
+Harrieth Ostrender FUCK HE'S EVEN WEARING THE FUCKING CHECKED SHIRT!!!!!!!!! JESUS HOT SAUCE CHRISTMAS CAKE!!! YOU CAN'T KEEP THIS WASHINGTON DOWN FOR LONG!!!
Rami Malek is AWESOME! SERIOUSLY! I would have never known how good his acting ability was! This guy can do any role and completely change himself! There is no doubt his best acting skills we have seen so far were displayed in The emmy winning show "ThePacific" last year! He made me cry my heart out with him and joe who played Sledge. The series finale with him and joe in the train scene when they depart was heartbreaking! Talk about rare friendship!
i can't get over his facial expressions during this interview. i dig it. oh, and i like how he corrects himself: "people will get to see all sides...or a few sides of what they think i can do." lol :)
I just finished until dawn and wanted to see the real actors. omg i was so shocked that josh looks exactlyyyy the sameee!!! josh exist in real life haha!!!!
i am so happy to see Rami Malek in a new movie!!! I loved him as Kenny in The War At Home and Snafu in the Pacific. i wish he had a bigger role in night at the museum but it was still great!! I cant wait to see more of his work. he is awsome :) :)
If the old FOX comedy "War at Home" is available on DVD, you should watch it to see Rami when he was on the show as the gay friend to the show's main character.
Aaah he'll pull through it. He's going into a bad franchise, yes, but the last Breaking Dawn film was actually pretty well done, and hopefully this one will be even better. Even if it's as terrible as the first film he'll be a breath of fresh air I'm sure. If there's anyone to play Benjamin and play him well, it's Rami.
My friend is over the moon for this guy. I don't think he's all that cute but I will say he's a great actor. I still can't believe he went from "I am Ahkmenrah fourth king of the fourth king" to yelling "F***ING DIE" with a machine gun in the pacific.
Troll! Are you really? That'd be super awesome if you are... tell him he'd going fantastic as the voice of Tahno for The Legend of Korra. He has a tonnnn of fangirls and fanboys on Tumblr. :)
@chopchopjojo i totally agree with you, hes the best actor ever, he really should win a grammy for all hes done, cant wait to see this movie, i love you rami! haha STALK HIM :p.
That guy's awesome. I have a hard time believing he went from that pussy pharoah to this. I hope that the Breaking Dawn film doesn't phase him to bad. He's going into a bad film, hopefully he knows what he's getting into.
