Thank you for the comment! I just tweaked the spreadsheet so that it now has 12 rows and 12 bar graphs to support a larger number. But since the card debt is a "table", you can put your cursor in the last cell of the table; press the TAB key; and you'll get another row.
I like the looks of this. One question I had - Is it only good for 2024 (and previous years as shown in the dashboard). Or could I continue using it in future years and still be able to effectively use the charts in the dashboard?

The spreadsheet is good for any year and every year. :-) And the dashboard will automatically show the years for filtering based on whatever data is in the spreadsheet, so when 2025 and 2026 entries start being entered in the spreadsheet, the dashboard will automatically offer those as buttons for filtering.
Currently use QB2014- while old- it still provides basic P&L and BalSht for my CPA-- .. i use "Class" for each of my investment properties and service vehicles... I like your version .. Question.. do you incorporate CLASSES and can you incoroporate Mileage into cost accounting by these classes? thanks Logan

I found there's an issue with Excel with regard to currency format in tables. Even after applying the standard "currency" format, Excel will change it to "custom". So the download has now been updated to use number format (no currency symbol).
There are a couple of options. (A) You could put it after your current entries and then tell Excel to re-sort on the date column, or (B) you can insert an empty row where you need it by right-clicking on a row number and choose "Insert"
Hi, to make sure I understand, you want to have the balance computed but don't want it to appear in your spreadsheet? There are a couple of ways. You could simply change the text color of that cell to be the same color as the cell background. Or you can use conditional formatting to hide it. That's what I do in my checkbook template so that the balance doesn't appear until you have entered a description.

Thanks for reaching out. Regarding printing out reports, Quicken (as an example) does have a lot of great built-in reports. Excel, as a spreadsheet program, is awesome for storing data, sorting and filtering data, charting and visualizing data, but when it comes to reporting, it’s not ideal. You can print anything that you see in an Excel spreadsheet. And you can filter your transactions easily (e.g., show just grocery store transactions), and then you can print those sheets.

Hi @nadinekocum901 Thank you for asking. I definitely understand the concern. I originally didn't have any macros in earlier versions of this Excel checkbook because there are bad actors out there who have taken advantage of macro programming in the past. But there was some functionality I *really* wanted to add that could only be done with a macro! There are 3 macros in the spreadsheet. One macro just hides or unhides rows 2 and 3 in the register so that the 'reconcile mode' button can do its thing. And then the button to 'Refresh' the dashboard is a simple macro that just does 'refresh' on the pivot tables (which you can do manually if preferred by visiting the 'PivotTable Analyze' menu if you click your cursor in a pivot table on the worksheet called 'All_Registers'. The most complex macro is in the 'Future Trx' sheet. That macro, when run, looks for the last transaction in your register and then does a copy/paste of the entries you have listed on the 'Future Transactions' table.

Thanks for asking. Last year, I did offer my earlier versions for free but the expense to host the website and the hundreds of hours of work that I put in to it all made it untenable to continue it as a free offering. But the templates are priced affordably.
