It's easy to change your wheels over to 22.5....20" and 22.5 have the same inside diameter...I did it a few years ago on a old New Idea spreader. Couple more weeks, I'll be spreading the little manure I have. Thanks Will.
@@brenterickson1695 I didn't know they where the same inside diameter. Maybe Cody can find me some slightly tweaked but good enough for a manure spreader rims. Maybe you need more cows so you have more manure to spread. 👍🙂
More critters!!! I absolutely love the 50 working hard!! You have been busy busy!! Co grats on the growrh my friend!! 😁😁 Look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar Thanks Nelson. It's good to run the 50 a little. Blows the cobwebs out. I should be disking but the 4230 starts running warm pulling the offset when it's this hot and humid.
Good evening Will.. Rotten hose is what I figured before... Spreaders take a lot of 💩!!! Our spreaders are just rust with a little bit of paint in spots.. but mechanically, they're in good shape 👍 the NH came off a dairy in Tillamook, it was a rust bucket when we got it in the late '70s, early '80s.. the IH is a little solider, it came off a dairy in Rosberg Washington.. along the Columbia, not far from the coast.. we bought it from a dealer in Tillamook.. I know it's easy to make holes, just gotta learn where the bottom should be.. I've found anymore, I prefer to use a smooth bucket for manure, haven't used the manure forks for 💩 in years!! Don't dig holes.. but we do use the manure forks for brush and such.
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I'm getting better at leaving the bottom intact. One of the worst things I did was push it up in the spring with the 40. I always took it to hard which was a bad idea since I lost a couple inches of clay every time. I've managed the last few years to kind of let the hole heal itself up but it could still use a little material to get the slope back.
A concrete feeding pad would be great. Too bad they are too expensive for most of us! Rocks have destroyed many spreaders on my farm! Usually it's Shale chunks that destroyed my spreaders
@@LVFFarmVlogs We can all dream about concrete. I know I do. It's amazing how many rocks I pop out of the ground even when I'm trying not to create a hole.
@@Thomasfarmstn Thanks. The title seems to be working. We don't have any big new shiny equipment for a thumbnail so we have to go with what works. For some reason manure spreading videos always seem to get views.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Unfortunately it has not been. Those are 9.00/ 20s. Not the easiest thing to find. I have a plan when it finally loses a tire. I have had a sidewall split for at least 5 years with the inner liner poking out but the tube is still hanging on.
@@pinesedgefarm1155 It was a good day. 🙂 I felt like I got something done. Disking now. You may not believe this but it's too dry. Rain chances tonight and tomorrow.
@@jimputnam2044 They all have a roof. I went and watched that spot again. I think what you are seeing is the garage roof behind the barn dissappear into the sloped roof of the barn shed. It does look a little strange.
@@farawayfarm2520 , I think the 34 has that flat stock piece that comes out in the front to indicate what mode the spreader is in. I know that mine doesn’t have that and I used to have a 34 with the sideboards up front
@@e.a.bfarms I figured it was worth a try. 🤣 I kind of have a shortage of things that seem to work for views. Whenever I think I'm going to have a great video it flops. No rocks would be awesome. My ancestors immigrated to this area on purpose so that one of their descendents who liked growing things would have to suffer. They had a sick sense of humor.
@@paulcasefarms9933 The main reason I pile it like that is so it dries up around it enough for easier loading. The clay stays really greasy under that wet manure. It is nice when the hauling is that short. Thanks Paul
@@flyovercounty1427 That's funny because evertime I maje a manure spreading video I think about telling Ronald Reagan joke about the Republican giving a speech from a Democrat platform. 👍😁
