A better way to make Blackened Salmon

This is my own way of preparing this salmon dish. It is a well seasoned salmon fillet grilled on a hot griddle and then served with rice and peas. When to season the fish is the question here, because the high heat of a hot griddle can destroy the flavor of many herbs and spices.

Excellent video! You express my feelings exactly when it comes to blackening. Not only does it destroy the flavor, but I shiver thinking of the free radicals! Thanks for your videos, I'm sharing the link w/ friends and family.

Hmm, looks good! Thanks a bunch for sharing the comps of ragu / blackening spices. I'm gonna make this for mummy. {Got be careful for our son...& his visiting friends} Children-friendly food in our house predominates.

You got that right about the over roasted,so-called gourmet coffee, that's for sure. Have you home roasted your own coffee? It can be a real treat!

what temperature is the griddle for blackening?

At what point did you remove the skin I think I missed it. Also is the underside not seasoned at all?

It depends upon your guests. You can remove the skin prior to plating, or if your guests don't mind the skin, plate the fish with the skin on. Either way is okay.

@@MobileHomeGourmet so if I prefer mine without the skin and I want the other underside seasoned do I just repeat the same thing on the bottom as the top so basically what I'm asking is I would salt both sides right?
