What kind of ensemble can you build with Divisimate Micro?
One of the advantages of this smaller plugin is the granular control you get when you set up multiple instances of it to control different sets of instruments. Using three instances of Divisimate Micro, Peter has built a full playable Big Band where Trumpets, Saxophones and Trombones each have their own instance of Divisimate Micro.
While each section can be played individually just by record enabling the right tracks, you can also just
That’s what he did in his short live performance that opens this video - and then we dive in and break down how exactly he pulled it off.

It would be nice to see a video explaining uses of how Divisimate Micro could benefit people who don't focus on playing things in live.

Nice video ! Out of curiosity, what is the controller between your Touché and your keyboard?

Adding a MIDI modifier to bass and transposing down an octave does not work - when recording with Divisimate Micro it plays in unison with the lead part. Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

What would be really good is to have Divisimate Micro as a plugin available on the iPad Pro.

Great video as always! Do you guys plan to implement CC "humanize" feature in Micro too?
@Nextmidi
@Nextmidi 4 месяца назад
Thanks! The way CC humanization works in Divisimate is structured around the idea that the first "version" of each voice is basically the original, and then every subsequent version of that note is humanized. Since CC timing humanization of live-data can only really ever work with delays this was implemented to prevent the CCs from feeling sluggish - this way for every note on the keyboard *one* instrument at least is playing what you're playing. This method does not make sense and barely would find any application in this 4x4 setting in Micro and result in a slider that does nothing most of the time, so we have opted to leave out the option entirely.

@@Nextmidi Makes total sense - thanks for clarifying! I feel that the tweaks of CC in the full app are features being slept on for many users, so just wanted to know what your thoughts were!

Maybe I've misunderstood (I've only just bought micro) but I can't help feel the CC random sliders are very useful even for 4 part stuff if you are inputting using a lot of CCs like breath, leap motion and seaboard controllers are doing a lot to the swam instruments timbre. The CC randomisation in the full divisimate makes the sound of even 4 instruments much more real and full sounding. I'm a bit sad it's not here having just bought the micro version too.

@@MusicByNumbersUK Agreed, I don't understand the idea that it doesn't make sense with a four part harmony. I literally have to rerecord the CC data three more times to make the breathing more realistic. This would help so much.

Is it possible to use one instance of Kontakt or UVI Falcon with a multi were the intruments are set in different midi channel?

Is there a way around feedback loop on Ableton? I'm still buying this but if someone knows how to do this it would be great!

To our knowledge not in the elegant way that Cubase offers. If you are on mac, you can use an IAC port to merge multiple MIDI inputs through different MIDI tracks and a loopback. The same can be done If there's a better way that we are not aware of yet, we'll share it once we learn of it. But we are looking into creating a native merging solution to this in the nextmidi hub for this purpose.

@@Nextmidi As a mac user I'll check the IAC port option and stay tuned to news from Nextmidi regarding the merging options you mention. Thank you! Just bought it 🫶
