So then folks.....Some of you may remember in my last video I mentioned that something big was coming to my channel...........
Well, I'm proud to announce that I'm the proud owner of a sib (Soft Inflatable Boat) From Boat World.
I have an inflatable Kayak that I love but I've had the idea of owning a boat with an outboard motor so it is easier to get around and visit big Lochs and coastal areas but I needed something portable so it's easier to transport in the car.
The Carbon Pro 365 with the 12Hp Orca engine is perfect for me to transport and handle myself......Anything bigger and I would probably struggle with the weight.
Im hoping to get out and visit islands, Bays and get some coastal camps in before the weather turns for winter so join me in my latest adventures that are coming up.............

Great piece of kit Mick. You will certainly have some fun with that. Have had a couple of boats, if you can, think of getting a small 4hp short shaft outboard, just for back up when you may need it. Good luck and enjoy mate. Looking forward to your adventures.

Im sure you have watched donny wilcox videos, thats a man to give you plenty of inspiration. I have had my eye on one of those sibs bit with the 20hp motor, love the black. Looking forward to your future trips

Hi Rich....cheers for watching Ive never seen Donny wilcox's vids to be honest but ill check his channel out now. They are great sibs mate...love mine. I was thinking about getting a bigger engine (20hp) but when i put things into perspective the 12 hp was a better choice. The 12 hp with electric starter weighs 40 Kg which i can just say lift onto the boat and handle on my own but the 20 Hp weighs 58Kg...now id struggle by myself lifting that. I usually have two people on the boat.....maybe three on rare occasions but more often myself. When im alone on the boat and open her up I get about 13, 14mph which is ok for me but it can get a little scary when the sea is a little choppy so speed is not a thing for me I think my cobination works for my needs, but if you intend to have more passengers and plenty of help setting up then go for it mate. Well that's a change from your forest walks. We went to mull for our honeymoon. Camped two nights on Calgary bay. Midgies for breakfast, dinner n lunch🥴 so we retreated to a BnB for two nights. Anyway the scenery was lovely. Hope your enjoying yersell. All the best Jan.x

That Orca engine is a 9.9 with a slightly bigger carburretor, if you look at the specs the displacement is the same on both the 12 hp and the 9.9 hp, which is 212 cc, a 15 hp engine is around 335 cc

Very nice mate, have the same boat, and thinking about the 12hp orca?? Normally only 1 or 2 people on the boat, can I ask where you got the seats from please,. Darren, Aberdeen.

Hiya Darren The 12 orca is not a bad moter. Ive had three people on board and it got us from A to B...but not fast. Two people is ok but then again not fast....solo on the boat is great and get some speed especailly with the inflatable floor upgrade but to be honest when you pick up speed it can get a little scary, so to me speed is not important.
