I’d love to start both, but Palmer being a physical presence that facilitates the attack is so, so crucial. Jack is a very good striker, and he is my favorite player. However, you can see the next level magic in Mullin’s foot every time he takes a shot that none of the others have.

The squad will be better when Mulls is back to full fitness, fastest way for that to happen is to get him starts. Phil knows this and is willing to sacrifice a bit now for the benefit of the club the rest of season. Good problems to have!

Thanks for the content. It has to be Marriott top scorer in league 1 and proved he deserved the spot till he shows different. It's a long season and tons can happen and both players are going to be important but Jack earned the start especially work Mullin getting last game.

No question Mullin is a legend for Wrexham but I wonder if Wrexham is getting close to his Ceiling. I do think he should get 12-15 goals this season but I’m not sure if he is the one to get success in the championship.

I remember that 2018/19 season. I was in primary school at the time and was probably the only wrexham fan in my year back then. I watched that match when we lost to Leyton Orient 1-0 away live on BT Sport. Shame we narrowly missed out in the playoffs that year but if we had gone up. Rob and Ryan might not have bought us 2 years later... so things have a funny way of working out 😅

You cannot sit Mullin. He will not get back to match fitness unless you play him in actual matches. Is a better striker than Marriott, all things being equal Mullin start Saturday, Marriott will start Tuesday. This is a long season guys, we have got to get Mullin up to speed as fast as we can. The longer we keep him on the bench, the longer it’s gonna take him to get up to speed. we do not have that time to waste. Not to be negative , I have a bad feeling about the Leyton game. i’d rather see Mullin get his minutes on against leyton. We’re going to struggle against versus a team that we should be beating on the road next Tuesday. Anyone think Marriott is a better striker than Mullin when both are match fit your smoking something

Mullin needs a goal. Marriott is in the zone. Parky has options which is good for Wrexham.

Marriott should start this game. Mullin will get in his groove soon and, as several have pointed out, it’s an enviable position for the team to be in with both players. Thanks for the background on Leyton Orient, plus the trivia at the end ;-)

Mullin has to play to get back to full form. Starting him now is an investment in the rest of the season. As good as Marriott is, a fit Mullin will score more goals for the season.

Gather all the points you can early, because there will be bumpy patches and these points give you a cushion.

A reporter for the Athletic felt that one would start on Saturday and the other would start on Tuesday.
