A black saker falcon and a short lecture from Sergey 

This population of darkly plumed saker falcons originates from the Altai Republic. They are also known as "Altaian gyrfalcons". This falcon was raised in a breeding centre, and his ancestor came from around Barnaul.
I once worked with a similar falcon, eventually transferring him to the breeding centre where he now resides.
