Hello RU-vidrs!
Welcome back to another one!
Tonights videos shows a BMW flying about 100 meters into the farmers field at gone midnight! We gave a quote at 00:30, but then customer went elsewhere, 4 hours later we get the call to attend and finish the job off!
The HIAB would have been preferred on this job 100%, but I dont have a spreader bar, BUT I think it's time to buy another one!

Hey Greg l would love to see you expand your business to Kingston upon Hull and it would be very nice to see you recruit more recovery truck drivers it would be great to see you use the mercedes recovery truck more often on your jobs

I think I would have gone in the Mercedes SLA . The bed goes that far out you could have the wheels on the road and the bed in the field. With some planks to help with the angle . But it's your show so use what you have. The 17 tonne DAF you had with that hiab you could have picked it out of the field.

Who lets the farmer know what happened? Would be bouncing with the mess the car made in my field. ( i know it’s not your fault)

Well its not your job to report it to the farm I think but it your man job to inform the farmer that he driven cross his field and I have a feeling that nobody will tell the farmer anyway but it will come his pockets and your man in the bmw should pay for what damage he's done

Am a farmer and if the police was on scene they inform us if not then you drive passed you notice car in your field just phone police as if it been phoned in. Most of the time yes we’re pissed off but we can claim off there insurance for loss of earnings.

Cracking job greg and never in doubt but if they called at 1pm and then called back at 4am I'd have charged them more as should have gone with you in the first place 😂but I'm horrible 😁hope the farmer wasn't to peed off🙂👍

Not your fault but I think you can get into trouble dragging that much mud onto the road? I know lorries coming off building sites are required to hose down before leaving.

Crikey buddy he done a proper job . Well done you mate . We have a place near us called harebrand walk and it's all shingle we get some people way out down the beach . It beg us belief how they do it but they do . Like you limited room a truck like yours and a spec good for the job . Awsome stay safe

Is that the infamous belt slipping on the alternator, “Still” , wasn’t it slipping when you viewed the truck ? servicing vehicles making sure they’re reliable especially on those dark wet nights when the charging of the battery on the recovery vehicles is paramount!!!

Funny thing is its been into a hgv garage and had new belts fitted says the invoice! And it was not cheap either! :/

Love your videos Greg, but I would enjoy hearing you talk things through more. Why you’re doing certain things and even more so why you’re not doing things, the pros and cons of the job etc. an idiots guide to each job if you will. As I’m a welder so I have no idea how to do recovery that’s why I watch your videos. I would find some explanation of your methods interesting. Thank you for reading, hope your having a top day. Keep the videos coming we love them!!

They’re not on a vehicle so I don’t see an issue. If they increase safety for recovery operatives then that’s only a good thing.

it was nighttime. how could the guy who went with the car on the road stand next to the winch line, which is bad enough, without even a high vis vest on? if the winch doesnt snap and cuts him in half, someone will drive over him. and it was raining, so i would choose sitting in my car instead of being out in the rain at night... nice recovery tho! i mean the guy that i guess went to help his bmw buddy out.
